I think this movie was destined not to happen, and confirmation that Murray won't do it is just the last nail in the coffin.

@jayaottley Yeah, I read that he really loves the Spider-Man character, and I think that's amazing. The fact that he wants the next reboot to have a half Puerto Rican, half African American lead just shows his complete devotion and appreciation for Spider-Man comics. And I didn't necessarily say I have doubts, just that I'm still getting used to seeing someone who isn't Tobey Maguire under the mask. I have complete confidence in Garfield, but it'd be like if someone else played Luke Skywalker--I just have the image of the original actor drilled into my head.
That story about the car scene is pretty awesome, though.

@thebd I'd cast my vote for Electro in the second one, then possibly Goblin and Venom in a potential third. Yes, that's more than enough big bads for one movie, but I feel like it would be the ultimate challenge for Spidey, and thus a good way to end a series.

Now, is this next years movie or is Pixar releasing two in one year? Because as far as I can remember, they've been on a one-a-year basis. Regardless, it looks alright based on these screens. We'll just have to wait and see, though.

I'm totally invested in this show. So much more than I could ever say for Lost!
But as for my theories, I'm going to have to say either cloning or just straight up time travel. Both seem like very Abrams things to do, although they're both entirely predictable.
And the only gripe I have about this show is that they're taking more time making the villains interesting than the main character. Soto is awesome, and so is Hauser, but Madsen is just so boring to watch so far!

@jasonkat Yeah, I'm still kind of getting used to Garfield too. Although, I do like how he projects the wit and sarcasm of Spider-
Man better than Maguire did. And I must agree, the Lizard is looking pretty badass!
