For the third installment, they're going to need to maintain the film-centered-around-bad guy layout they had on the Dark Knight. I don't think it's necessary to recast the Joker, just a quick "Thank God that crazy *sshole is in Arkham" will do.

I've never been so sure that a film was going to flop as much I am of this one. Jesus. I say they bypass the theater release entirely and make it go straight to Blue Ray. It should come free with any $20 and up purchase at Best Buy.

I'm with markdcchapman on this one. The studio explicitly said a few weeks ago that a "competitive slot" had opened up in 2009. But in the bigger scheme of things, who gives a sh*t haha.

The way I look at it, the situation is very similar to the new Batman franchise. The Dark Knight was infinitely better than Batman Begins, with the help of Ledger and Eckhart. They can do the same thing with Superman - throw in a decent script, some cool IMAX camera angles, maybe a few more A-list actors, and you've got yourself a pretty sweet flick.
Important to note, Singer and crew may feel more inclined to better on their mistakes seeing as Superman Returns didn't live up to the hype. Singer has proven himself an excellent director. Give him a chance. |
