i'm quite excited about this movie. Downey is a fantastic actor and he really makes Tony Stark the character he is on screen. if anyone else played this part, this movie would be nothing.

first of all that is proper grammar moron. go back to second grade and maybe you'll learn something. and no, i'm not standing up for anyone imparticular. i just hate jerks that put down other people's opinions just because THEY'RE different. it's people like you that make me wish it was necessary for people to take IQ tests to be allow to procreate (that means make babies). then maybe we wouldn't have to listen to you anymore.

you can't tell someone to learn how to spell and use bad grammar. that's just hypocritical. you did learn the difference between 'there' 'their' and 'they're' right? apparently not.
"That's why there taking up for eachother." good one. the only reason i say anything is because you guys don't let people share their thoughts without calling them retarded. stop being douches, get your fists out of each other's asses and let people discuss movies in peace. |

i'll make a good point with a simple question...
Newkill, why is it everytime i check MovieWeb for news, i see you being a complete douchebag? i mean, i'm sure you're used to it and all, but why is it that you have to show your, let's call it "douchiness" to all these fans who just want to put forth their opinions? do you really need to make everyone else feel bad so that you can feel like a genius? why dont you help everyone else on here and go visit Dr. Online? (and if you dont know that reference, i have just proven you dont know everything so get over yourself and leave people alone) |

newkill, explain to me why you're mad at Paramount for taking down the trailer, you want the movie to be out and not the trailer, yet you dont care about the movie or trailer because, and i quote "This movies going to suck ass anyway. Just like the first one." you make no sense.

i know nothing has been proven, but every sign there seems to point to him doing this to himself.
now, with that said, either way i am truly pissed off. he was one of my favorite actors, even after brokeback mountain. he was so talented and lightyears ahead of every other actor his age. i truly hate seeing this happen. i'm actually more worried about him than the movie. and i would also love for this to be a sick joke. i'd rather be pissed at someone than upset that he's dead. |

ok, this is probably the worst article ever.
they boo Cloverfield, but love that R2-D2 shirt??!?!?!?! i love star wars as much as the next average 20 year old, but seriously? i'm sorry but they should save money and just make signs that say "I'm a nerd" and sell those. well, those or the famous "kick me" signs would work very well. the rest at least makes some sense. no one cares about High School Musicals and Britney. but i'd also boo the Golden Globes. seriously, after this writers strike does anyone deserve any awards? everyone's just giving into everyone else on their demands. it's the best, or worst strike of all time, depending how you look at it. |

first i'll start by saying i dont have to go see a chick flick to get some tonight. i'm going to see cloverfield and i'll still get some, at least twice. now, to the movie... i have a firm belief that if you go in a movie expecting it to suck like this guy here has, it'll suck. you become automatically biased. if you go into a movie think it'll be awesome, it either will be, or it'll be a big disappointment. just like someone else said, this movie, like all is strictly for entertainment.
i've followed this movie on and off for the past 6 months or so and i must say, the back story is very well thought up and interesting. did anyone else see the tagruato station get destroyed? does anyone even know what i'm talking about? a lot of people dont honestly. this movie was built around an interesting back story that leads to a specific night in real time. if that doesn't interest someone as much as ANOTHER kate hudson movie where she falls in love with matthew mcconaughey then people are crazy. now the fact that the masses love this movie is the result of two things: successful viral marketing and the personality of the common man/woman. i will admit that a lot of people seem to be following this movie because everyone else is. however, there are those people, like myself who just want to see the movie because of the storyline. i've been watching monster movies for 20 years and it's about time we get another successful one. and finally, i want to give a list of movies that i was told were great films, by critics and others: ultraviolet, 8 mile, battlefield earth, spider-man 3, the pirates of the carribean trilogy, ... i could go on and on. to me, most of the movies did not nearly live up to their hype and what critics said they were. the moral of this story is that critics and viewers will not always agree on movies. they are opinions and everyone has their own. HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE. |
