Oh, come on. Are you people really this dumb? How is Dark Knight beating Titanic's record going to improve anyones life?

Why don't you just walk up to the Warner Brothers Studio and toss your wallet over the wall onto the lot. And that way at least you can save the 2 hrs and 45 minutes.

The Dark Knight is the most overrated movie of the 2008. And with out the JOKER performance, all you have is an overly long and some what bland action movie.

I can't even watch Christian Bale talk in that awful voice. And with repeat watches everything makes less and less sense.

Red has no problems with diverting corporate funds to a secret project (basically screwing the share holders) but he won't listen in on cell phone conversations? That is where he draws the line!!!

The whole movies filled with crap like this. At least, in Batman Begins they tried to keep a sense of reality.

And why didn't this movie end when Harvey shows his face. It's could have been the "Empire Strikes Back" of the Trilogy; a great dark film with a down ending. Instead it's drawn out for another 45 minutes and everything that follows is worse than what happened previously. It's an OK popcorn flick now - at best
Sam Jackson is a asshat

A narrator? So, what, was Morgan Freeman booked? :)

I wanted to see Fanboys like 2 years ago. And now I won't give two sqirts of piss to see it. And I can't be the only one.

WAY TO GO HARVEY!

Can Weinstein Co just fold already
Do you people even have jobs?!!

I think he moved the release date to July because he knew you giant nerds would spend the next 12 months of your pathetic lives whining and crying about it on the internet hence giving the film free publicity.

He's probably laughing about it right now in his big office - snorting a line of coke off some hooker's stomach - while you sit crying about it in your parents basement and wonder where it all went wrong.

(sniff)

He should have just said, "for all those people who are extremely up-set about the release date of the next Harry Potter film being moved to the summer of 2009, I have these words for you:

GET A F*CKING LIFE YOU WIZARD LOVING RETARDS!

See ya all in July!

I know everybody is going to freak out when I say this - but The Dark Knight was a bit long. No, it was way too long.

It should have been split into 2 movies. Rachel dies. Harvey Dent is disfigured. That was the natural ending point for the movie.

It would have been way more of an Empire Strikes. A dark movie with a dark ending.

Besides, everything that comes after that point in the film is not as good. All the best action and Joker lines (and scenes) are in the first hour and fifty minutes.

They should have split it up like Kill Bill. Why do these comic book movies need to be 2 and 1/2 hours long?

Harvey Dent (Two Face) should have been the bad guy is the next movie. They did nothing with the character after he was disfigured. What a waste!

Ok - now you can all scream at me how it was just SO AWESOME and I am stupid. Just like you all did with Spiderman 3 - LOL - Spiderman 3 - LOL

Watching Eddie Murphy try and do his Axel Foley stick again would be about as entertaining as watching my grandpa telling dirty jokes at the dinner table.

It's awkward and I just end up feeling sorry for him.

Who wants to pay 10 dollars for that?

Pass

Thanks Moviemanic, (very informative)

I have been having trouble sleeping.

I'm going to print off your post and read it before going to bed tonight.
I think it's clear to everyone here that Flrep07 is a special person. (very special) He is not to be touched or harmed in anyway. He was born this way and it's not his fault.

Flrep07 (which is not so much a name as it was him just mashing the keys) is a hero for just knowing how to turn the computer on.

Way to go buddy!
I didn't see Scream 3, Spiderman 3 or X-men 3. I did see Godfather 3 and that even sucked.

I highly doubt there is anything educational about seeing Spiderman 3 or Rushhour 3.

And I certainly don't think it makes a person more knowledgeable about movies if they see Scream 3.

Marcusx is just pissy because he's the sucker who knows a movie is going to be terrible but pays to see it anyway...and assumes eveyone else is as retarded as he is.

(Marcusx next summer)

"yes, I'd like one ticket for Fantastic 4 3 please"
Maybe Rushhour 3 was the worst. I don't know. I didn't see it... and it looks like that was the right move on my part - because I thought the second was dog sh*t and the first was mildly amusing (at best)

I find it hard to believe anyone on this web-site even sees a movie with a 3 in the title. Nevermind Rushhour 3. (for shame)

Anyway, anyone who was suprised Rushhour 3 was a bad movie is automatically pusnished for their stupidty by having to sit through Rushhour 3.

It's called movie sequeal justice. You have all suffered and you are all now forgiven.
every movie the guy makes gets worse and worse

sh*t on high def is still sh*t
markdchapman wrote a comment about the news item The Grand Director Zak Penn Talks Blu-Ray
I agree that Blu Ray is overrated.

If you DON'T have a newer HDTV and an A/V reciever with 5.1 or better than Blu Ray is not going to do much for you - but if you do have these things then I have found the opposite is true.

Nothing looks good except for the high def on a big plasma or LCD screen. In fact, on the larger screen with all the pixels anything less than HD looks awful.

If you're going to watch basic or even digital cable and movies on DVD then don't buy a HDTV because you will be very disappointed.

I'd wait until there is more content in HD on TV and the BD players and discs come way down in price.
If disc media will "never" die how come I have friends who already watch all downloadable content and downloadable content only? (And have not bought a DVD or CD in more than a year?)

How come they watch current TV shows like HBO's "In Treatment" in 720p where the files are less than 3.5GB?(and they look great!)

Blu Ray dual layer discs are 50GB and can hold up to 9 hours of uncompressed High Def content. A HD movie file is about 10 GB. (Depending on length) You can buy a good 500 GB external hard drive for your computer for about $120 dollars right now. That's enough storage capacity for about 50 High Def movies.

(the reason they bring the file on a 100GB hard drive is because - what's the point of making an "external hard" drive that's smaller than 100GB? - moron)

This isn't the future. It's already here.

How come I don't know a single person (family member, friend, and co-worker) who buys CD's anymore?

You had it right Civilcowboy. Retailers already display TV's as computer monitors. I know several people who have home set-ups this way already.

And it's not just Apple and Microsoft preparing and investing in it. Panasonics new Blu Ray players are set-up with storage space for future HD downloadable content.

Don't listen to Kaya. He rides on the short bus.
Christine, I know you were born with your problem and that's cool. Well, it's not cool, but... whatever... you are a very speacial girl. And I bet you are used to having things in your mouth.

I actually blamed the retailers in my post as well. I don't expect you can read "so good" and I'm sure the person who helped you write your post didn't properly explain it to you.

Either way, the Blu Ray player I bought months ago is currently selling for $100 dollars more than what I paid for it. Hey! Wait a second! That's exactly what the article above says! WEIRD.

Kaya can cut and paste the Bible onto this blog and it's not going to change that.

The people saying they are going to hold out and stick with DVD have the right idea. The longer people hold out - the sooner the prices will fall.
markdchapman wrote a comment about the news item Bourne 4, Thor, Ant-Man and Star Trek Updates
The reason the Bourne movies have been good up until this point is because they don't just say "yes" and pump them out like Spiderman 2 & 3.

The Spiderman franchise is garbage.

Matt and Greengrass are smart as hell if you ask me.
Sony and the retailers don't care if you're a poor ass.

Saying that, Toshiba would have done the exact same thing. Anyone who thought Blu Ray was going to get cheaper with the demise of it's only competition is a moron.

Sony is now going to spend millions and millions of dollars marketing Blu Ray. Who do you think is going to pay for that? The loyal customer. That's who.

All involved in the "war" made comments about what was confusing and better for the consumer. This was never about the consumer! It was about getting the consumers hard earned money! And it's a dumb move on their part because all these price hikes are going to do is make the people who were waiting continue to hold out because of the $400 dollar players.

And If you're not a gamer you're not going to go out and buy a $400 gaming console to watch Pirates of the Caribbean (moron)

And don't be surprised if you start seeing PS3 prices climb vs XBOX 360 either, at least until Microsoft can can get a Blu Ray player in the thing.

No apologizes nessasary. And hey, I can always find the time to come here and insult you. I look forward to being added to your buddy list, and am sure I can make the time to sling sh*t at you there as well.

Now I have to go dust off my Blu Ray player.
