i am a NERD. all the characteristics and cliches. i'm on constant blogs and message boards that deal with films, comics, games, and occasionally music. my movie collection is bigger than yours but not with shitty films but classic and contemporary horror films, comic films, scifi, academy award films, action and comedy. i do have a comic collection with both monthly issues (Dark Tower is the shit!) as well as Graphic Novels (The Killing Joke and Watchmen are my favs). I do read literature and my fav authors are Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, Clive Barker, and John Steinbeck. my music tastes are everything (and i mean everything) but if pressed i gotta go with hip-hop (and not that bullshit on the radio but class acts like the Roots, talib kweli, mos def and the like). my walls are littered with posters as you'll see on the pic i'll post soon below showing the kind of guy your dealing with. clothing? simple if u see a guy in jeans, converse, a hoodie and a horror t-shirt its most likely me. night life? non-existant unless you count staying up late drawing, writing, or typing (screenplays&stories) with a horror movie on a night life. i love going to the movies, concerts, and conventions. i don't drink often if at all and i used to be a heavy smoker but now just once in awhile... that lung cancer thing isn't a rumor. i may be a nerd but i'm not a lonely one, i have an amazing girlfriend that kicks ass and surprises me with dvds and cds alot... sometimes things she wouldn't even want to see or listen to. what can i say i'm a guy who tries to draw, write, and is trying to get into this business that is filmmaking... i guess i can end this with what i plan on doing in the future:
1)making bloody, scary, and disturbing horror films
2)writing screenplays for others as well as producing
3)making a name for myself in the comic world ala Steve Niles
4)i have a curious interest in tatooing
5)wanna create a brand of vans and converse that have horror movie artwork
6)meet the SplatterPack (eli roth, james wan, neil marshall, edgar wright, rob zombie, darren lynn bousman, alexandre aja, greg mclean, quentin tarantino, robert rodriguez)
7)and finally i would love to write for a website or mag that dedicates itself to horror flicks
So thats it. I love horror films, music, comics, books, the arts, my girlfriend, and my bedroom... i'm relatively simple, peaceful, and loving... but also a cool ass N.E.R.D.!!!
