Madame X wrote a comment about J. David's Review of Jumper
My husband and I went to see this movie and we both liked it a lot. No, not a "great" movie but a fun movie still. Even now when we catch it on tv, my husband will comment on how much he likes it.

Now I do see the problems with the movie and that it could have been better. My biggest problem is that 88 minutes should have been more like 100 minutes. I'm still hoping they do a sequel because the premise alone is worth another try. I found nothing wrong with the actors. Keep them and use more from the books.

I didn't think Anderson's Session 9 was as good as some make it to be. The Machinist was unique. Transsiberian, an excellent Hitchc*ck like thriller. I've been watching news about Vanishing on 7th Street and the bits and clips are intriguing. Actually looks a little like King's Langoliers to me. Everything I've read said the focus is not biblical though the question naturally comes up along with Croatoan and other scenarios as the survivors try to figure out what is happening and how to survive it. It looks good to me. Anderson is good at setting a mood and atmosphere.

A really fun movie. I saw it twice in the theater. The action should be really cool on Blu Ray.
Madame X wrote a comment about the news item Hayden Christensen Joins The Genesis Code
The Genesis Code is a 1997 novel while Dan Browns novels (Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code) came out in 2000 and 2003. Sounds like it could be even more controversial than Da Vinci Code but that movie was able to weather the storm because of high profile involvement like Ron Howard and a Tom Hanks.
