Jimmy, the episode you skipped is called Dungeons and Dragons. Kyle's brother's Derek ends up getting captured and we get to see many cool Terminators from the future including a superbly crafted T600 as his jailor. There is no cannibalism in this episode although I guess it implies that human tissue is being stockpiled for some reason as Kyle Reese says in the first Terminator movie.

Lena Headey plays Sarah Connor and she has three serious objectives 1) protect John, 2) hunt Skynet 3) stop Judgment Day. Lena's Sarah Connor starts off with certain principles but discovers other characters that her son sent back through time to help with her fight against Skynet and to prevent Judgment Day. Lena Headey's Sarah is partly the warrior woman we saw in Terminator 2 and partly the mother to young John Connor who is played by teenaged Thomas Dekker.
