First off, I would like to safe, The Installs of Direct TV suck, the do not by anyway seal there roof mounts, and there cable connections are not up to code. Futhermore, They do now Ground there systems to the house like Dish Network does. So if Lighting was to strike your home or close buy, Guess what, there goes all your stuff. Dish Network Installs are designed to Last 15 years. Unlike Direct TV which also charges you out of the ass. The phone line bit is to keep people from moving the equiment with out notice. Unlike Direct TV, Every one has these fees. Cable, Phone, etc. Just look at your bills each month. You will notice taxes and what not that no one should really get charged.
Btw selling your DVR's on ebay would not work, the are coded in a way that they can not be activated once deactivated unless you have a valid account, and most of the people who shop on ebay for them, will only have been robbed. O yea and btw have you ever thought of this lil device called a Phone X? it allows your home phones to work through your home's electrical system. allowing you to hook up the phone lines to the DVR's and other dual tuners. So I am guessing you have 3- 625's and 2 510's? onlt the 625 untis need the phone lines, and btw August 15th there is a new unit coming out, a 722 which is a HD DVR with 350 hours of recording time. Also I would like to say, the promo Direct TV has saying the " 140 HD channels" That is not true, most providers do not broadcast in HD. Though Both Direct and Dish are full Digital TV, Cable is not, Not even with a Digital box hooked to your TV.
