@shuabert Another rare time we agree FTW! Thank you, Sir. Thank you! Liam Neeson RULES! :D
It'd be pretty cool if ScarJo still makes it into the film when it's made. And @dan1, I'm thinking about trying these games out now, thanks to you. :P
@shuabert I agree with all your choices for good or decent video game adaptations... except for Prince of Persia. Sorry, but that movie was terrible. I was a huge fan of the trilogy of Persia games they did for that series, starting with Sands. And Sands of Time was yet another example, and excuse, of how a movie director/writer changes the story and characters of the games to fit their screenplay. It was okay for those who'd never played the game, sure, but that was pretty much it's target audience anyway... Because the minute a fan of the game sees that the story and concept have been changed to fit the film, they're either worried about how it turns out or they refuse to see it at all. Most of the people I know who saw the movie, liked it... but then, none of those people had ever played the game before seeing it.

Not to mention they cast Jake Gyllenhal as the Prince of f*cking Persia. A caucasian american as a persian prince. Come. On.

Tomb Raider is still the best video game adaptation, despite it's story having nothing to do with the first game's storyline. But then, for a Tomb Raider movie, you don't really need the same story as the game. Lara Croft could do anything and go anywhere and, well... it'd still feel like Tomb Raider. You wanna know what's really great about that though? Is despite the movie having a brand new storyline, they got the CHARACTER of Tomb Raider right. From the look to the accent, right down to the backstory. For all intents and purposes, Jolie WAS Lara Croft. Something I can't say they did the same for the Prince of Persia movie.
@shuabert Mark is a hit and miss actor at best. If anything, he plays himself in half the stuff he does and the other half he does a half-way decent job of convincing me he's somewhat talented. Donnie atleast gives his all in every performance he gives, and has a charm and charisma that Mark sorely lacks on screen. His emotes are very "flat" and he's typically just there for eye-candy. Donnie is exactly the opposite - He's less attractive than Mark but makes up for it with personality. But, to each their own. I like Donnie's acting better than Mark's and vice versa for you, we just disagree on how far each of their talents go.

@dan1 THANK you. and lol :)

  • @lane1 It tarded up the first try lol
  • @dan1 Hmm, I'm kind of confused by this. Not really sure when this is happening. The article says it "bridges the gap from Tron to Tron Legacy to the next sequel', but then the featurette is called The Next Day. So is this like, the day after the events of Tron Legacy or what? The whole thing seemed very scattered.
  • @lane1 I think it's events that took place after the original Tron, then it skips to events after Legacy. I had to watch it a couple times to sorta piece it together, myself.

@dan1 I didn't see it. Link it to my pro?

@dan1 @Number1Wolverine, I agree, the idea of another sequel just sounds great. And yeah, the cartoon looks good. Elijah Wood and the original actor from Tron doing the voices? Should be interesting.

Also, you say you didn't want to "dog-pile" on to your review like everyone else has, but that was my point. Your one complaint about Ryan needing a shave was just as invalid as the thousands of other complaints about the film. If you're going to give ONE complaint in such a short paragraph, make it a real one to separate yourself from other reviewers.

@dimerte My enjoyment of the film doesn't change what I said about this not being a review. Ask yourself why I'm the only one giving you any feedback for this and why no one else has thumbed it up. Either they haven't seen your review, or they just don't care enough to read it. Your responses to me were better than anything you wrote in your "review." I mean, aside from the poor sentence structure, it needed some editing.

Your very last line says "It is a good first whack at a DC character named Superman or Batman"... I think you meant "not" named, lol.
Lane wrote a comment about the news item Man of Steel Wants Christopher Meloni
@ejk1 Do you have a problem with me I should know about or do you just enjoy being a self-righteous jackass? Read my comments. Nowhere did I say Meloni was playing Lex or even that I thought he would be. I simply said that IF he were, he may surprise you. Was it really so hard for you to simply just agree to disagree with me? Apparently so, otherwise you wouldn't have had to repeat yourself as if you thought I wasn't listening the first time, and in a snarky way.

Take your opinion (because that's what it really is) and shove it up your ass.
