Wow! Of all Batman movies, the ones with "grown up" approach are the best for me - Batman Forever (Val Kilmer), Batman Begins (Christian Bale) and this!

Although Batman is originally from comics and in many movies, staying faithful to the source is a dream, the Batman versions in the 90's just ended up more like visual feasts with storylines not even memorable for kids. I guess Batman essentially needs to be treated like an adult just for it to give justice to the main characters. And I can see Heath Ledger perrffffecting the latest one on the screens.
