Requiem for a Dream The best thing about this film is Arnonofsky uses the camera to amplify what the characters are feeling, the masterful stylism comes secondary as these characters make you feel

V For Vendetta Based on Alan Moore's wonderfully intelligent comic book V For Vendetta doesn't come close to the greatness of the book but keeps enough of it to make an entirely satisfying political thriller

The Dark Knight The Comic book movie period! Anyone who says this is a bad film simply wants to be a non conformist and enjoys being counter culture because this is the true definitive Batman film

Blood Diamond The movie where Di Caprio offically earned my respect, Jennifer Connelly proves yet again why she's my favourite actress, Dijmon makes his way into mainstream appreciation, and Ed Zwick follows up his masterpiece the Last Samurai with an even better film

Dalton Trumbo's Johnny Got His Gun I mean the original not the remake however there is no page for the original masterpiece. The greatest anit war film ever made truly makes us imagine the most terrifying hell being prisoner in our own body. Thanks to Metallica's brilliant song One for introducing me to an equally brilliant film and book

300 Perfect adaptation of Frank Millers original work, the whole movie is beautiful it looks like a moving mural, I thought the action was intense but the fact that this wasn't even nominated for visual effects at last years academy awards is a sin!

The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things Heartbreaking but brilliantly made Asia Argento gives a scary performance as a white trash mom and tells the tale of a flawed foster care system convincingly. Say what you will about Cole and Dylan Sprouse but they can act as evident in this fantastic independant film

Kill Bill Vol. 2 A great follow up to the first one and the best western in years (except for 3:10 To Yuma of course) i liked how this one was more realistic, and i preferred Budd and Elle to O-Ren and Vernita. A western just suits Tarantino perfectly
