wrote a comment about the news item The Hobbit Aims for 2012?
In all seriousness, I wonder if the "2012 Panic" will do anything toward movie sales? Lets face it, there are more than enough morons out there to cause a panic over nothing (Y2K anyone?) and you can bet your ass its going to happen for 2012. If The Hobbit is released in December of 2012, I wonder if it will have a negative impact on its ticket sales due to people hiding in their basements in fear of the end of the world. I personally think it's all ridiculous and will be at the movies first chance I get but I cant vouch for all the Mayan "prophecy" fearing religious zealots of the world. I guess only time will tell.

Even though the music in this particular T.V. Spot is extremely childish and gay, I have to say it's an extremely smart move on Fox's part considering the tone makes it much more appealing to younger kids and teens. Its funny how much a simple change in score brings an entirely new perspective to a film.
Either way, I'm pumped for this! I cant wait to see it on the big screen and in 3D. |

wrote a comment about the news item John Rhys-Davies Won't Return for The Hobbit
Damn, I would really have liked to see him make an appearance in the film. Its a perfect opportunity too considering his father and his cousin are both main characters so it would have been a great link to have Gimli in a scene or two.
@Todd89 - Yeah there are elves and quite a few at that. If you recall, when the Dwarves are passing through Mirkwood they are imprisoned by Thanduil, which is Legolas's father. Which, by the way, is also another perfect opportunity to give Legolas a few scenes as well. I really think John-Rhys Davies should reconsider. I know he is extremely allergic to the prosthetics but there has got to be a way around that. I guess only time will tell. |

wrote a comment about the news item Adrien Brody Signs on for Predators
For one of the most "badass" human killers of the Earth, I think I would have gone with someone other than Brody. The guy isn't exactly "mercenary" material if you know what I mean. The guy looks like he can barely hold a fuckin gun, let alone kick predator ass with one. He had better hit the gym ASAP and learn how to actually be tough, because that is a quality he has yet to show on screen.
But he is a pretty good actor so lets hope he can pull it off. I still worry about this film, especially after reading about those stupid fuckin "predator dogs" and "predator eagles" that were mentioned in the . Lets just hope that was a rumor. Either way this movie just reeks failure, which is unfortunate because I really want this to be good, we are way overdue for a good predator film. |

wrote a comment about the news item The Rights to The Terminator Franchise Are Up for Sale Again
I'm going to post what I posted on another website about this same thing and that is:
I hope this series finds a new home with someone with a little more common sense, talent and taste then the people who made Salvation. I hope these new people dislike McG as much as I do and replace him with a director with an actual vision of what this series should be at this point in time. Salvation was a disaster, plan and simple, but that doesn't mean they cant do better next time. Terminator is an extremely lucrative property and shouldn't be taken lightly, so get someone who knows what they are doing. Just bought T2 on blu-ray a few weeks ago......amazing. Watching that opening sequence make me desperate for more post nuclear war/nuclear winter action, the way Cameron intended it to be.....not McG's watered down, damn near laughable bullshit. It actually would be great if Cameron returned to the franchise, but I highly doubt it, my guess is that they have gone way too far off track for him to want to "repair" the damages (in my opinion). Overall, lets just hope that T5 and T6 are a vast improvement on Salvation......can't be too hard to accomplish. I, for one, would love to see the return of Arnold and have them use the old Ian Holm/Bilbo Baggins pinning of the face trick to make him look younger. Do NOT use the Patrick Stewart/Professor X, CGI crazy method of making him look younger! AND DEFINITELY DONT bring an entirely CG Arnold back......what a joke that was. |

wrote a comment about the news item Watch the A Nightmare on Elm Street Teaser Trailer!
I dont know, he just doesn't look that scary. Given that they really don't show a whole hell of a lot of what Freddy actually looks like, its hard to say for sure, but his face needs more menacing scars on it.....this reminds me of Gary Oldman in Hannibal. Not scary...
I dont know about the rest of you, but as a little kid, the only "horror character" that freaked the hell out of me out was freddy. His makeup, body language, voice and actual ways of killing people scared the shit out of me. Also, I don't like the "twist" of him being innocent, that actually make you have sympathy for him, which ultimately leads to really weird mixed emotions toward him killing people. Assuming that is the route they are taking, I think that is a really poor decision. All that stuff aside, I have to admit, from a guy who really doesn't like horror (at all), this film still looks like it could be decent. The visual look, at least from the trailer, looks great. I like the mood of the scene when he is coming down the hallway of what appears to be a sub-level basement of a foundation, sliding his "claws" on the pipes. Very creepy. I guess only time will tell with this one. |

How's it ging K-Man? Good to have you as a friend! Sorry it took a bit to be a friend, but I like to look to see who people are and what their likes are, if they are the same as mine. I added one guy, without checking, and he's into ganster stuff. That's not really my personality. But at least the guy likes some of the same movies I like. I still have to make up my lists and movie preferences, if I ever get the time to do it. Well, have a good one. Chat with you again soon.

Hell YES!!!! Finally, X4 is what I want to see! Fix all the X3 bullshit and get it right this time! All I got to say is they had better bring back the main characters who "died" like Cyclops, Professor X and Jean Grey! Cyclops should be an easy one considering you never actually see him die.
Quite frankly, if I had my way I would say do a "Superman Returns" and just pretend X3 doesn't even exist. Just pick up where two left off and continue down a better road. Who says they can't? Better than coming up with some ridiculous reasons why other characters who have "died off" are back. Anyway, Fox needs to smarten up and stop fucking up there most lucrative properties! Get X4 done right by getting Bryan Singer and his writing crew back on board! Honestly, I think he is ready to return after watching the series fall apart! He is the only person who has proven (twice) that he understands these characters and the Universe they live in. |

I'm glad to see the majority of us are on the same page, thanks to those who support my theory of what can make the series better.
@ZanyZap - I'm not really sure how three words in Caps and a few exclamation marks is overreacting. If anything they are used to put stress into the seriousness of how I feel, but as far as I'm concerned this isn't even a topic worth discussing. Didn't know it was such a big deal. |

I agree with the majority that "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was not just bad, it was downright terrible!
First off, the alien idea was beyond horrible, it just didn't fit into Indy's universe, therefore they need to return to the "power of god". Second, they need to put Indy into situations that are actually threatening. There was never a moment in KOTCS that I felt any of the protagonists were in any immediate danger, whatsoever. Thats half of what makes Indy so special, is his ingenuity and creativeness for getting himself out of sticky situations! But then again, you don't want to overdo Indy's ability for escape either! There biggest mistake was putting Indiana into that fuckin refrigerator..... after-all, if he can (absurdly) survive a nuclear blast inside a 1960's fridge, what possible threat could a bunch of Soviets pose????? He's not superman!! Third, get George Lucas the fuck out of the writing suite, his Bullshit nonesense about overly comedic groundhogs, tarzan swinging proteges, and Soviet attacking CGI monkeys, all but destroyed my faith in the series. Return to the roots of what made these movies so great. Also, if George Lucas is so adamant about writing the original story, fine.....but get a good screenplay writer this time around who actually knows Indy's character. In other words, goodbye David Koepp. And Lastly, and probably most importantly.........FILM ON LOCATION!!!!! If there is one incredibly terrible continuity error in KOTCS, it was just how CGI crazy this movie is in comparison to the previous three films! Indy films provides the perfect opportunity for audiences to live vicariously and visit other places in the world that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to see and experience it on the big screen during a huge Indy adventure. If we wanted to see digitally recreated forests and towns of places that actually freaking exist, we would have stayed home and played video games! Lets get it right this time! |

Why does the animation need work???
Good Lord, people said the same thing with Polar Express and then on Beowulf.......Obviously you people just aren't getting it! ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE 100% PHOTOREALISTIC. This type of animation requires exaggerated physical features and a slight cartoonish feel! Thats the whole point! Its not trying to achieve what films like Avatar, for example, are trying to do, where they create entirely digital characters that look 100% photorealistic. Looks great, perfect holiday movie! Also, the film has an incredible cast! Looking forward to it. |

wrote a comment about the news item Matt Damon Dishes on a Fourth Jason Bourne Film
I think you greatly underestimate the importance of the handheld camera & quick cuts in the Bourne Movies. If they used anything else, it wouldn't be a bourne movie, so no sense in complaining. It gives the movie the "documentary/your actually there/panic stricken" feel to it. Besides, the handheld camera work is one of Greengrass's signature style choices, no way he's gonna change, nor should he.
Looking forward to this.....if they get a good . Also looking forward to Green Zone next year! |

wrote a comment about the news item UPDATED: Walt Disney Studios Acquires Marvel for $4 Billion
This really sucks, when was the last time Disney released anything that wasn't completely "kid proofed"? That includes POTC. As far as Im concerned, you can kiss the chances of a strong/dark PG-13 Marvel movie goodbye! They will never release a Disney movie with a lot of violence in fear of ruining Disney's family oriented name. Stupid decision on Marvels part and unfortunate for us.
