i felt the first one was aimed toward a new generation, with showing a little for the 80's generation and before such as "KUNG FU GRIP" thay tried too hard to make everyone happy and ended up being a sucked movie for the 80's generation. lets hope this one cleans up the mess!

everything sounds great but i have two issues with what thay have planned.. one duke and the barroness?? come on!! that is messed up.. also scarlette and rip cord? really now!!! it feels as if thay want to make this into a soap oprea.. all these love triangles have got to go.. and stick with the main reason why thay are g.i. joe and that is to fight terrorist.. i could take a little love story but this is getting out of hand..

Snake Eyes quickly departed, but soon after, a teenage Destro and his father arrived to coordinate clean-up operations with the local authorities. Papa Destro lamented Eugen Decobray's passing, having studied at Eton with the young man's father . Meanwhile, the younger Destro learned the truth about Eugen's murder revealing the truth years laterwhen the Baroness went gunning for Snake Eyes.

Eugen sent his sisterfrom the room to vent his spleen, but in the Baroness absence, the agitatedViet Cong gun men riddled Eugen's chest with bullets. Seconds later, Snake eyes burst through a window and pasted the two killers. Hearing the gunfire, the Baroness rushed into the roomand spied Snake Eyesholding a smoldering pistol above her brother'sorpse erroneously pegging the commando for the crime.

Baroness History: at the age of 15 she traveled with her brother Eugen Decobray, on a relief expeditionto aid the victimized Saigon populace. Eugen negotiated with supposedly pro-western militia members to dole out medical supplies, but Eugen's "partners" actually the Viet Cong traded goods on the black market for firearms. In an ironic twist, the Viet Cong members purchased their ill-gotten from Destro's arms dealing father , who mistakenly believed the thugs represented the South Vietnamese government.
Enraged to uncover the Viet Cong's duplicity, Eugen hotly confronted his two contacts the same killers who ambushed Snake Eyes group.

but to answer the question.. g.i. joe stands for .... GENERAL INDIVIDUAL JOE..

I have always liked baroness's outfit... I just wished thay put the cobra emblem on her.. but then again it may just throw everything off such as a destraction.. when i first saw this pic i thought she was in a court room setting.. does anyone else get that thought?

history summary.. after vietnam snake eyes parents and twin sister gets killed in a car accident on the way to pick him up.. snake eyes accepts tommy's (storm shadow) offer to join the family business. tommy's uncles the hard master and soft master train snake eyes the way of the ninja. during the training the hard master favors snake eyes over storm shadow and wants to name him heir to the family business, snake eyes declines. one night the hard master demostrats the chameleons mantle "the ear thats sees" while imitating snake eyes breathing, movement and heartbeat. zartan and firefly lurk in the distance. zartan chose that movement to fire his arrow threw a wall killing the the hard master by mistake.. storm shadow persued the disguised zartan watching him flee aboard a cobra helicopter piloted by firefly. joining cobra ranks storm shadow tried to learn the killer's true identity.. with the hard master's death the Arashikage business dispersed and snake eyes returns to the high sierras. then later joins g.i. joe. my refrence.. i would like to beleive that is storm shodow but after looking at the other pics of him.. thay don't compair.. storm shadow seems to have longer face... as for the guy in the car seems to have a round face (chunkier) the white suite makes confusing though.. my thoughts no that isnt storm shadow.

after studying the armor suites it reminded me of robocop.. am i the only one who sees that?

those armor suites are differant than the first pics posted.. im not into them either.. as for snake eyes i think it would be best to keep him in dark areas.. the sun light reflects on his upper body too much where it looks rubbery rather than spandex.. im still not liking the two tone black going on with snake, also his knee pads should be worn outside to make him more commando like.. i see that he dosent have his uzi either.. it maybe im being too judgmental but he is my favorit character.. to get a better vissual of what i expect of snake eyes look refer to g.i. joe reborn cover or take a look at my icon.

I have to say this is a great surprise, now I feel good about the direction sommers is going with this.. when he mentioned about introducing the characters I didn't think he would go as far back to snake eyes ninja training.. for those whom are not sure about this movie.. I say be possitve the best is yet to come I'm sure..

hey XJWS79.. COBRA REBORN is a comic book.. it is also in trade paperback where it has G.I. JOE REBORN.
I'm guessing it was suppose to become a series. But never made it that far.. great art work as well.
Oh and as for your zartan question.. no pics of Zartan most poeple are hoping thay don't show him or destro with mask until it closer to the movie.
