“Mixed reviews from many, but I still think this is a must see for "Dead" fans.”

The idea is an interesting change from Romero's previous directions, but it did seem a little bit "Blair Witch". This movie does still have it's legs and does well to stand on them. It would have been interesting to see a full scale theatrical release to find out what a wide spread audience though...

“Not a sequel; This movie has legs and stands on them with ease.”

If you have seen the first "Evil Dead", you will quickly conclude that you are watching the same movie. "Why would you want to see that movie again", you ask. This version by far has much more substance. Once again it is a low budget movie; however, it has much more money pumped into it this time...

“Tripe on strings.”

I must start by saying that I really wasn't much of a fan. I am a huge horror buff and greatly enjoy when a movie reaches to new levels. This movie had potential to reach new levels; however, it spiraled into a mediocre movie. The premise is interesting with ventriloquist dummies being scare fact...

“Zombies and Comedies, Who knew they could go so well together.”

What can I say about this great piece of work. If your going to watch it you need to educate yourself with the "Dead" movies first. If you don't you will miss many of the references and will possibly not find this as funny. This movie isn't scary at all, but the characters act much like we probab...

“Excellent remake of a Romero classic!”

This is probably pretty close visually to what Romero would have made if he would have had the funding. Other than bits of the story and the location, this movie is way different story-wise than the original. The ideas are the same, a hodge-podge of people stuck in a mall with zombies outside. Wh...

“The 1st in the Evil Dead series, a true cult classic!”

The story is pretty far out there. I think that could what makes this movie so great, well that and Bruce Campbell. This is a very entertaining flick that was created on a very small budget. Because of that budget you see several corny special effects, but story allows you to look past the movies...

“Gritty and in your face. Romero's brilliance shines again.”

With this 3rd installment to the "Dead" series, Romero has put the human race on the run. The acting is much better in this flick, but beyond that, Savini's make up is eye opening and exciting. I think what I love most about this movie is how Romero has created a parallel between the mindless thin...

“The pure genius of George A. Romero at full display.”

Romero pulls off a classic with this 2nd tale in the series of "Dead" movies. With "Night", he was able to create an amazing story that captured the beliefs of the time and was able to raise questions about the social thoughts of the time. His genius is shown again as he portrays zombies as mindle...
