some of the humor is ok but they just drag the sh*t on and make to many jokes...thats not the point of a scary movie...look at the first 2 or 3 movies they had almost no humor in them..they had a little bit and i completly agree with you on that, that is what makes freddy unique and special..at the same time thought its almost a sick sadistic humor that is creepy..thats the good sh*t but in the last 4 movies they made it to many jokes that werent the same sadistic sh*t and that took any sort of horror away from the movie. i agree 100% with you on iif it was a sequal no one would care because thats true, but i think its gonna give alot of skeptics a run for their money..sure the trailer sucks because it makes him look like a puss in the begining and they dont show enough burnt freddy and such so its hard to say..but it looks like it sticks to the original story line and plot which is a huge plus for the movie...thats the only reason why im giving the movie a chance if it was a different story line then f*ck it its not worth it but i really think it will be pretty good newkill.

i do agree with alot of your guys points but i mean we do gotta give it a chance...everyone knows sooner or later they will want another freddy movie and everyone knows it wont be robert englund so thats already a down side but we should give it a shot. hes not rob zombie killing halloween. i mean hell in any remake everyone complains about how they killed the original or how it was exactly the same. this one looks like a mix of both and a little somethin more. the last freddy movies packd in to many jokes and kicks and giggles. no one wants that in a scary movie it ruins it. we need a refresher like this. one that is gonna put fear back into kids and some others so they do keep making scary movies..its what keeps us going and debating about this

ya everyone needs to stop crying about it for real...it looks ok...i do agree i would rather have the demonic looking freddy rather than an actual burn victim but give it a shot..its not like this guy is rob zombie ruining halloween..michael bays texas chain saw massacure was pretty damn good. he was kind of off with friday the 13th but everyone knows sooner or later they would want another freddy movie or a freddy remake and robert englund didnt want to do the part. he felt like he was to old...besides the old freddy movies packed to much humor into them in the last 4 or 5 movies...this one looks like its ligit..everyone who complains about these remakes say they completly ruined the original and changed the whoke story line or they left all the origional stuff out and ruined it so all you critics out there who are complaining shut the f*ck up and give the movie a shot with todays great graphics and make up it should do fairly well. once again he is NOT rob f*cking zombie ruining films left and right
