I recently picked up the 50th Anniversary Edition of Alfred Hitchcock's "North By Northwest," the 2-Disc Special Edition of "Audition" released last month, and "Pelham 1 2 3" since I really liked that movie.

Just saw & reviewed "The Men Who Stare At Goats" and rate it as the best comedy of the year, and with December being a month for dramas, then I expect it's safe for me to say that.

Just saw "Sate of Play" and liked it, but not the first hour of it. Too slow and predictable up till that point. And I netflixed "Up" as I've not yet seen the film, so I hope that'll be a good rental. And I expect it will be.
I plan on getting the Extended Edition of "Angels & Demons," and hopefully for Xmas the Special Editions of "Public Enemies" & "Inglourious Basterds."

Yep. I went to a party and it was fun.
I got those dvds too except I Love You Beth Cooper.
Is it a good movie?

Good point. A lot of movies now are just entertaining but not a good quality film. It doesn't mean that I hate the movie.
Not a lot of things I've been up to. I'm still in school and all that. Finding a job. I still don't have a girlfriend lol.

it sounds like a lot for me, but it really isn't. my life is just about the same as yours right now, except I live at home since I got to a local community college and all my friends have no intention of returning to this sleepy town, as they constantly bicker about being home for just a week duirng XMAS when I've been stuck here alone (save for 2 fairweather friends) for the past 2yrs. And with that, I have little in common with them anymore, as they're into the "college experience" definition of fun, while I've yet to do any of that sutff. Such as when I went to Chico (notorious norcal party school) for a day to visit by best bud, it was great, despite not doing anything except browsing around the "college town." Point being that I'm becoming very anti-social and disconnected from the reality my friends are living in. Hence why I joined this site, seeing as nobody of my 105 friends writes me there, but I converse here all the time, and it seems we're all in the same boat 1 way or another.

I also go to flicks on my own alot to, but since my car isn't up and running yet, I walk the 2 miles uphill there and back again. (annoying). I do it moreso now after joining this website in February 2008, which boosts my motivation to see new flicks in theaters. The discussions thereafter are interesting.

As for movies, I skipped Wolverine after hearing it didn't really have a plot that made sense of much other than it being full of action, and I skipped Star Trek since 1) i'm not a trekkie, and 2) i heard its success was due to a full renovation from the original format, thus making me less interested. All 4 Terminator films are reviewed on my profile page right now. I was dissapointed that Marcus Wright was gotten rid of after the first installment of the new trilogy.

and the review thing of yours, was it that when you clicked "submit" that it was all deleted? same thing happens to everyone here as it has for the past year. Just copy/paste it on a word doc before posting it, then when it deletes after clicking "Submit" just copy/paste the review back on, reset the amount of stars you gave it, and click "Submit" again and it'll work.

doin good. yourself? I got off college semester 4 on May 8th, won't do summer school pending other projects, and semester 5 doesn't begin until August 31st, so I'm pretty much on the longest vacation I've ever had since first starting pre-school, which makes 17yrs. lolz.

i saw Angels & Demons and rated it at 4.5 despite its differences from the book, which I hadn't read in 3yrs, so couldn't remember enough of it to judge the film too harshly. And I gave T4 3.5 for good action but lack of good chemistry with the characters, and lack of any good character development 'cept for Marcus Wright.

Not much else goin on here, though I and my best friend'll be goin to SF from 6/29-7/1 just to browse around since we've wanted to do that for 11yrs already.

Huh, i thought you'd written reviews already?

Yeah, "Fast & Furious" looks awesome. No, I didn't get the set... I already owned all of the movies, and I dislike blu-ray immensely. I just liked the cover art a lot. LOLZ!

Do you regret not going? I know everyone tells me it's the most important part of your high school career, but I can't help but think what the fuck happened to the education you're getting? LMFAO!

It was a great trip. For choir we went to Branson and put on some performances and we went to shows and an amusement park. It was awesome, and I had a shitload of fun, but I was miserable the entire time because I was sick. We got back on Sunday, and I've missed yesterday and today. I'm going back tomorrow better or not. lolz. Prom is on Saturday. XD!

Ugh, I do not see why anyone would pay $15.00 to see The Jonas Brothers Experience. They would have to pay me very well to even sit through the thing. I am not interested in Street Fighter either. It just does not look like it is going to be any good. I could be wrong, but I think it is probably going to be cheesy.

Looking forward to Watchmen, then it is just waiting for May.

I know it can be difficult right now looking for a job because I have a friend who is looking for one. I hope for everyone's benefit the economy gets better sooner rather than later.

What movie are you planning on going to see next?

I do not know about the quality of the Awards going down, because I usually do not watch them. The only reason I watched this year is because of Hugh. I guess you have never seen any of Hugh's performances. He won an Emmy for his performance while hosting the Tony Awards where he was equally as good. I have a DVD of his Oklahoma stage performance so I knew he was multi-talented.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I doing good, how are you? Has anything exciting been going on?

Of course I watched the Oscar's and I thought Hugh did a great job. Maybe they will ask him back next year. What did you think?
