Just saw & reviewed "The Men Who Stare At Goats" and rate it as the best comedy of the year, and with December being a month for dramas, then I expect it's safe for me to say that.
Just saw "Sate of Play" and liked it, but not the first hour of it. Too slow and predictable up till that point. And I netflixed "Up" as I've not yet seen the film, so I hope that'll be a good rental. And I expect it will be.
I plan on getting the Extended Edition of "Angels & Demons," and hopefully for Xmas the Special Editions of "Public Enemies" & "Inglourious Basterds."
I got those dvds too except I Love You Beth Cooper.
Is it a good movie?
Not a lot of things I've been up to. I'm still in school and all that. Finding a job. I still don't have a girlfriend lol.
I also go to flicks on my own alot to, but since my car isn't up and running yet, I walk the 2 miles uphill there and back again. (annoying). I do it moreso now after joining this website in February 2008, which boosts my motivation to see new flicks in theaters. The discussions thereafter are interesting.
As for movies, I skipped Wolverine after hearing it didn't really have a plot that made sense of much other than it being full of action, and I skipped Star Trek since 1) i'm not a trekkie, and 2) i heard its success was due to a full renovation from the original format, thus making me less interested. All 4 Terminator films are reviewed on my profile page right now. I was dissapointed that Marcus Wright was gotten rid of after the first installment of the new trilogy.
and the review thing of yours, was it that when you clicked "submit" that it was all deleted? same thing happens to everyone here as it has for the past year. Just copy/paste it on a word doc before posting it, then when it deletes after clicking "Submit" just copy/paste the review back on, reset the amount of stars you gave it, and click "Submit" again and it'll work.
i saw Angels & Demons and rated it at 4.5 despite its differences from the book, which I hadn't read in 3yrs, so couldn't remember enough of it to judge the film too harshly. And I gave T4 3.5 for good action but lack of good chemistry with the characters, and lack of any good character development 'cept for Marcus Wright.
Not much else goin on here, though I and my best friend'll be goin to SF from 6/29-7/1 just to browse around since we've wanted to do that for 11yrs already.
Huh, i thought you'd written reviews already?
Looking forward to Watchmen, then it is just waiting for May.
What movie are you planning on going to see next?
What are you looking forward to most this year?
Of course I watched the Oscar's and I thought Hugh did a great job. Maybe they will ask him back next year. What did you think?
