Once again... what's with all the negativity? This sounds fun! I'd check out a comic or a novel based on this idea, why not a movie? Wait... I get it, you guys were all really really really hoping this would be a Leonardo Da Vinci biopic, right?

My Dad is gonna love this! He's a die hard Packer fan.
Man... I don't understand the Krasinski hate. He wasn't the first guy I imagined in the role but the idea of him doing it isn't so repulsive. I'd like to think he could surprise in the role and if he tones/bulks up he's got the look. I swear some of you haters out there are probably still asking the studios not to cast Ledger as the Joker, the soft drug-addled Robert Downy Jr as Iron Man, Craig as Bond or some tall lanky no-name aussie who does musicals as Wolverine. For so many people who love the creative mediums of comic books and film, why all the closed minds?
Would have never thrown Krasinski's name in the ring, but I kind of like it the more I think about it. Obviously Krasinski's a bit doughy right now to play the part, but any actor worth his salt should be able to muscle up for a part like this. This would be a good chance for him to broaden his acting chops if he has them outside of comedy.

I also really like Chris Pine for the role, but as others have mentioned, he's got a number of other franchise roles on his agenda so timing may not be possible.

I don't know anything about Hailee Steinfeld, but I'm glad they got this role cast finally. I am excited to see this project come to fruition.

Dtheomen is right. I don't know much about Airbender, but I do know that M.Night's been wanting to make this for awhile.

Wow... the buzz on this movie just gets better and better! Could this be the rare 4th movie that is better than the first?
movientvfan - great call on "The Unusuals." I really liked that show!
One other show that I loved (but may not fit the requisite of "Greatest") was a little watched show called "Everything's Relative" that came out in '99 (not to be confused with an 80's show staring Jason Alexander). Anyway, this show was created by Mitch Hurwitz who some of you may know as the creator of a show mentioned a couple times in this post... Arrested Development. The show was really quirky and had a weird sense of humor that I definitely think was a precursor of what we've all grown to love in Arrested Development.
Gotta go with Firefly and just to throw one out no one has mentioned yet... my wife and I LOVED Journeyman. It wasn't perfect but it was good and had a LOT of potential if given a chance.
posted in the forum: laurel and hardy
I don't want to be a hater, but I just threw up in my mouth a little with the thought of Sandler and Wilson doing Laurel & Hardy. Please don't ever let that happen. I'm not sure if there is anybody out there that could pull off those kinds of roles. Maybe--and I am really stretching here for the sake of conversation--Jack Black (he can definitely do the physical comedy) as Oliver Hardy if he was less "Jack Black-y" in the role and well, the only person I can think of right now that could pull off Laurel believably is--call me crazy--Tom Hanks... but I don't think they would be good together... the age discrepancy between those two for one...
Oh... and you all gotta admit, Olga looks hardcore in this trailer! I thought KK was pretty cool in King Arthur, but I think Olga may have out skinny-warrior-woman'd her on this one.
