@bruce-ha welcome aboard to embrace and appreciate a classic film :)

Personally, i thought this film was pretty entertaining... although it did differentiate from the novel in bits and pieces i still feel it was a good film, much better than a lot of novels-film that have come out.

@dan1 great minds think alike my friend
@Ezio yeah like 20 years ago (who cares???)... hell i have never been arrested and i jerk the gerkin every damn day... in mcdonalds bathrooms and dimly lit movie theatre seats :)
oh god, and so it begins... LEAVE BLADE RUNNER THE F*CK ALONE, i dont care if they are prequels or sequels, same thing happened to alien, same thing happened to terminator... christ!
so the acadamy awards can pick editor's, producers, hell i think i even saw a gaffer in there somewhere... but they cant include someone like haim that unless you were dead or in a coma you pretty much knew who he was in the 80's. He got snubbed after he outgrew his "cute kid with a smirk" probably did not help with his offscreen antics either but it is lame they could not even include him in the memoriam. if his and renfro's rememberance is due to drugs, then just look at hopper... or hell 85% of the inductees of the rock and roll hall of fame should not be inducted in that.
incmob gave this a Thumbs Up

i think it is a good choice... as far as selling out, i am not sure the term really applies anymore. hell downey jr. must have for iron man, depp probably did with jack sparrow, and maguire did it as well with spider-man... okay it was wrong to group maguire in with the first two, but the point being is that every actor eventually finds a roll that familiarizes them with the general public... although i think Mortensen did that with LOTR's, i feel he has still kept grounded, and there is no reason not to still make the films that he wants to make, but this would be a bigger paycheck than he is used to. i say go for it, it could be worse, they could get nick cage to do it... OH NO HE DI'INT!

Didnt they learn their lesson on the first film????? just goes to show how little money a studio will put into a film to make a bigger profit... hopefully they put a lot more effort in the film this time around, but wouldn't be surprised if they dont.
ANYONE HAVE A GUN AND A BULLET... I WOULD LIKE TO BLOW MY BRAINS OUT NOW... WHAT A HORRIBLE TRAILER AND EVEN WORSE IDEA.

MAN... does Antonio Banderas ever f*cking age??!!
personally i didnt feel it was all that bad... cliche'd yes... but also based on a novel... which i hear the film is pretty close to the novel, which then makes the novel predictable, and not so much the film. But in todays world of cinema there are not so many films that can say that they followed the novel that well... one film comes to mind... Eragon. As far as the review i think you made good points though especially regarding the final 20 minutes or so of the film. I do appreciate the review though even if it was a rant, it is always interesting to see how others liked or disliked something compared to my own opinions.

P.S. DONT TEXT AT THE MOVIES!! just playing :)
@brian... agreed. this is great news... and personally i would like to see it as a reboot and stay within the confines of clive barkers world then to give us a retelling of that particular storyline. That in itself is reason to have faith in this film. with all of the crapfest sequels that followed beyond hellraiser 2, it will be nice to see this as being taken more seriously than most of the remakes or reboots of yesterdays horror films... @brian, i also agree that the new NOES version would have been much better to just fully do a reboot, instead of trying to commercialize on the title. It had its moments, but most of them do. Hopefully hellraiser will get off the ground though, and they bring it to the screen sooner than later.
