In a just world this film will bomb so badly it'll send all involved into actors purgatory! I used to love you jackie, but you had to become a sellout putz!
The karate kid was decent for it's time, but even then it was campy at best. It doesn't fit in this generation, infact i can't even say the words karate without thinking of some cheesy 80s film.

THE HANGOVER was good, but not great. It could have used a bit of a punch but overall; a fun film.
you guys are spot on, they shouldn't even bother with the sequel. It's going to be a silly 'situation' comedy at best. At worst, it'll be OLD DOGS/ROAD HOGS! Just slapstick 'nut-kicking' garbage.
But since they are doing this, i hope they don't actually make the characters have a binge/hangover in the story, that would be ridiculous. They shouldn't even call it hangover 2. We are realy going back to the cheesy 80s comedies

I remember loving his old hong kong movies, police story, project a, drunken master. Not only was the action good, the story was fun too.
But this crap is just kiddie garbage at its worse!

It seems we've seen this all before. It's V for Vendetta with a ninja twist. Watchawskis' have been giving lackluster products AFTER V.
i'm willing to check it out though.

ALL superhero films should have a nice arc of about 3/4 films THEN allow a NEW envisioning and retelling through another style.
This should & WILL be the last BATMAN film Nolan & Bale will do. They WILL move on to other project and rightfully so.
I LOVE the current tone of BATMAN films, and they haven't had it this accurate since the 90s ANIMATED SERIES. But it's only 1 persepective/style of the character.
I could totally see a batman trilogy with more supernatural/horror tone. I'm sure the studios would go for it too since horror/gore hasn't been this popular since the 70s. KILLER CROC, MAN-BAT, CLAY FACE are psychologically fascinating characters, in the hands of a good producer/director it can be something special.

Newkill, the joker had his arc, two face(short as it was sadly) had his arc and they need to be left alone.
Chad, you're right about BANE. As for RIDDLER they should make him different from Joker, i can't help but see nerdier version of CLOCKWORK ORANGE's Alex to do the trick! Nolan mentioned CLOCKWORK ORANGE as well.

most of these have already been mentioned by others on the boards. Just a few additions. It's important to fit this into the ending/setting of TDK Nolan universe;
1. Riddler & Blackmask + mob; Riddler is going after BATs, Blackmask would work from the crime mafia angle and take down bruce.
2. Hush & Deadshot + mob; Hush for Bruce on a personal angle, Deadshot gun for hire to kill Bats.
3. Bane & Penguin + mob; brains & brawn. Bane for bats, Penguin for Bruce. Not sure it matches the continuity from TDK.
BLACKMASK would be a perfect & easy fit to a world where batman is an outcast and a mob take over is eminent. the personal back story would have him going after Bruce.
PENGUIN needs to be what he was ORIGINALLY, a strange, eccentric, psychotic mastermind. Not a freak of nature! He's a business man in Gotham tolerated by Bruce to use him as an informant when needed. - Phillip Seymore Hoffman is the only choice!
THE RIDDLER the perfect look would be a touch of the "ultra violence" CLOCKWORK ORANGE's Alex. I truly feel this the first choice for the central character! Should be careful not to be anything like Joker. - Paul Bettany fits nicely.
HUSH also has a great back story, a personal grudge to bring down BRUCE.
DEADSHOT is a good 3rd villain used by a mastermind villian or mob. Has enough flair and brawn to keep bats on the run.
CATWOMAN is not a good idea,its a BIG risk as the film might become campy. Can be fit the current tone of TDK aftermath.
BANE is a brilliant story, but provided they DON'T go supernatural with the venom. He's a good secondary brawn villian to match a brains foe(riddler/penguin).
A mix and match of ANY of these guys would work best, but it's gotta be a BRUCE & BATS combo the villains are after.

just like SPIDEY 3, seems that rami doesn't know what TONE to keep for this film too.
It will be all over the place; i'm expecting more musical dance numbers, song interludes, mixed storylines, underdeveloped characters and cheesy dialouge. Oh and of course peter crying like a little bitch, again!
This series will be campy-kiddie-crap till the rights come back to marvel after the sony 5 picture deal is over! Till then i couldn't care 2 shits about a spidey movie!

i like the plot! It's nice to see it's a new story. It's an actual return to wonderland with a mission, looking for destiny.
We ALL know the original story, so it's interesting to see a new envisioning.

Burton's love for expressionist films will fit this nicely. But...the HATTER IS AN EYE SORE!!!Should have toned it down a little.

it's time to CHANGE the direction of SPIDEY is going. the first one was campy but unique. Made SUPERHERO films a marketable, The second was actually the best, edgy, focus on 2 main story lines, 1 real villain. The 3rd horrendous to put it mildly.

FOX should close the trilogy and go in a COMPLETELY new retelling of the character. New cast, director, writer etc!
This will help the creativity on and the character fresh.

The truth is MAN-BAT & KILLER CROC are great characters...but NOT for the Nolan universe! ROBIN, BATGIRL, CROC, BANE, CLAYFACE, MR.FREEZE, will simply not work.
Even characters like CATWOMAN, RIDDLER, PENGUIN needs to be tonned down, less colourful, less flair/flamboyant in order to fit in to the current series.

Nolan needs to FINISH the trilogy with the SAME crime-drama tone as the first 2!

he shouldn't have even been in the FIRST one!
The movie was good, and so is nimoy but the time travel double was a little cheesy.
Since the producers went in a new direction & retelling the series, they need to 'separate' the former actors with the NEW CHARACTERS.
Cameo's are fine but not when they are connected to the older movies SO directly. It's like having Jack Nicholson as a Mob boss in the next batman film would work, but not with a JOKER connection!

I loved all the games. The WW2 story and tone of the first 2 were good(considering some of the character were real people, the credits prove this).
WW2 or Modern is no issue with me, so long as the focus is on STORY.
No matter how bad the movie is, it will NOT RUIN the games.

Marvel Studios only made IRONMAN & HULK. FF2 & PUNISHER were just 'in association', that's why they had a different feel to IRONM & HULK.
THOR has some hope with Kenneth Branghan directing & Marvel on their own.
