wow. Thanks for answering "What if Glenn Beck wrote for MovieWeb?"

I hope you're being facetious because you realize you said, "When this opens poorly... They are going to cancel any and all future Wolverine engagements. It's a franchise that is going to soon go straight to video."

First of all, if this performs poorly they won't blame the commercial viability of a Wolverine or X:Men franchise! They'll blame the leak. Which has nothing to do with how popular or potentially lucrative films can be.

Also, your worry about the film industry falling to pieces like the movie industry is retarded. I just can't "image" it. The music industry fell because cds are released and essentially escape the control of the industry. Consumers have immediate access to them, sharing, remxing, etc. to their will. In our age, this just isn't a AS lucrative distribution model. MOVIES on the other hand, avoid that ass-f*cking because of movies aren't just freely accesible in high quality cinematic grade consumption. They pass through money-making ventures like theaters, dvds, product tie-ins, etc.

So this leak won't destroy the film business as we know it. I can't "image" it. This doesn't set a precedent. Fox and everyone else will just be a little bit more careful and and little bit more litigious, that's it. And this argument isn't even touching upon the oncoming bandwith wars that'll surely prevent any high-quality movie sharing/movie industry apocalypse (that you "image").

As for your indignation for and compassion for the working men and women of the film industry, they've already been paid for this movie okay. And being that this franchise is a maybe one movie every 2 to 3 years, I'm pretty they have other movies. I'm pretty sure about this because the movie industry is having a pretty good year.
