posted in the forum: Cal Green Lottery Commercial
Wow! Loads of views but zero comments. Is this idea too nerdy? With so many people asking for ideas for film projects, I thought the commercial idea would be at least as good as the next.
Does anybody want to post what they think about the green lottery idea? Thanks! Habodabi |

wrote a comment about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: International Trailer 2
This movie looks really good and I want to see it as soon as I can. Irrelevant Rant: The book series has more than once described traveling by "apparition" as spinning on the spot to get going. This trailer looks like the director forgot that bit. In the Prisoner of Azkaban film the director also forgot that Harry was never allowed to perform magic outside of school. Harry is shown doing his studies by wand light saying lumos (performing magic). It makes me a bit crazy when these simple yet important things in the books are overlooked. Didn't they read the books or consult with the author?

If they split it in two, they will gross two gazillion dollars instead of one gazillion

Just watched "The day the Earth stood still". It had potential. The relationship between the mother and son was much more interesting than Johnny Moronic rubbing whale blubber on his chest. I mean seriously, every time I rub whale blubber on my chest I break out in song. I guess it was OK even without Johnny singing...
I also watched "A Sound of Thunder". It was ok despite the weak special effects but because I read the story I had a different idea of where they would go with it. |

Just watched "The Big Boss" otherwise known as "Fists of fury" with Bruce Lee. It was awesome.

Last night I watched "Forbidden Kingdom" starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li.
Forbidden Kingdom has a simple story and mindless script. Boy finds magical item in pawn shop. Item transports boy to another time and place with a mission to return magical item to free the entrapped Monkey King. Boy must learn kung fu from two kung fu masters, fight armies of professional warriors, battle a witch and an immortal guy who likes eye shadow. I think the twist is there are two kung fu masters the boy must learn from. I am guessing the reason I wasn't too impressed is because it's a formulaic children's film and I was hoping for more from the two kung fu stars. I will watch it again tomorrow and hopefully I'll be in a different frame of mind. There was a memorable fight scene in a temple between Jackie Chan and Jet li. That part was fun to watch. Wurd |
