@bluedevil your done with me? you never even really started with me?! There was way to many cuts to black! that effect can look great if it done more rapidly. a couple of shots where under exposed and few others where not to well exposed. the type at the end was horrible! just cause they did it in the 80's doesn't make it right to do it now, you should never put linear and angled type together! aside from all that the effects where done well, make up was great and well placed music and some shots where very well composed. but it seemed like a lacking nightmare.

i also have very high standards for film, and if the movie sucks ill be the first to admit it. i can tell right now you that if it is good you will say its bad just cause you hate being wrong which is prob why you "done with me" cause i make good points a raped everyone in my last debate.

i dont get it, there was already like 4 bad elm street movies. even if this one is bad (i don't think it will be) it probably wont be the worst one. and if its good that means it could spawn a new freddy fanchise. so there is nothing to loose by making this movie, you cant ruin something that has already been dragged in the mud; however, it has everything to gain well money mostly....

as for you comment on remakes vs re-imagings; they are both the same thing! if its been done before and your redoing it your doing a remake. Nightmare on Elm Street had been done in the past this is not a sequel they are starting over again so i guess the most proper term to use would be reboot. however, a re-imaging and reboot are both still remakes. im sure movieweb is a more credible source then i so take their word for it movieweb/search?search=nightmare+on+elm+street+remake

@brian there isn't your right! they pick bad talent to make movies! but the trailers for those movies sucked as bad as the movies did! the directors actors writers all sucked! and im not 100% saying this movie is going to be good im just saying i dont think its going to be bad. the directer is new to feature films so thats a coin toss. thats how i usually judge a movie before i see it, by the director not the producer. also the original friday and chainsaw sucked as much dick as the remakes.

as for your points about why this movie will suck, just because a bunch of other movies suck doesn't mean this one will. do most remakes suck? yes. but dawn of the dead was badass! 310 to yuma was amazing! the departed i think was a remake too and that was great! and movies are never scary! there has maybe been 3 movie that have scared me! when i was younger i was just more tolerable of trash! the original halloween and elmstreet where good, exorcist scared the sh*t out of me and thats about it....every friday the 13th sucked *sshole hell raiser did the same. so suck a dick @Paolo Sardinas i hope your ability to critique a movie by its trailer is as good as you ability to judge a person by their name...

ITS A REMAKE! there taking an old idea and putting a new spin on it! you are FANBOY so just keep watching the original over and over to keep your head from exploding. as for haley not being intimidating, did you watch watchmen? Rorschach was a badass! he f*cked mad sh*t up! and he didn't shrink any since that movie. and for your comments about his voice. ITS A F*CKING REMAKE! new direction! they are putting some new juice into a dead franchise. also name a producer that makes movies for other reasons than making money? none! thats for the directors to do they give a f*ck! producers just give money to make money! all of them! as for the superman cheese thing, i agree thats gay. but that could have been slowed down just for the ad, i dont think that would be in slow-mo in the movie. all i can get out of this trailer is that it has a ONE good actor (from what i have seen him in) great cinematography. the trailer is well put together, good editing minus the slow-mo shirt part. you are aloud to have an opinion, i think its a sh*tty one so im supporting my statement with facts. i also love debating movies, kinda gay but oh well.
