No way in hell Katy "Fairy" does 3.2 million. All theatres I see are dropping shows big time because nobody wants to see this piece of crap. Katy won't be in the top 10!

AMC and their "Mini-Max" is such a JOKE! I mean, come on people, find a true IMAX theatre and watch it there. AMC is the most over-rated, over-charging theatre in the nation. Why people pay to see movies at the prices they charge is beyond me. Give me a true IMAX theatre, and I am there....AMC can piss off. They won't get a dollar out of me!

I for one am excited...We just don't get good action films anymore...Beside, if they can make crappy films like Underworld and Resident Evil(Both should of stopped after one), then why not. Let's face it, Hollywood has gotten boring. They just don't know how to make an original film anymore.

There will be no movie theatre in the United States that will play this film. Why? All theatres are angry with this whole VOD the same day the movie hits theatres. Tower Heist tried something similar....Theatre owners won't allow it. Mark my words.

All I can say is please, please, please...TDKR, kick the crap out of the terrible movie Avatar...How and why this has to be the top grossing movie of all time, I WILL NEVER EVER KNOW! The movie was such a sham!

It's a good thing Movieweb knows that the film ACTUALLY comes out on October 8th.

My predictions of course are way off as well...I admit, I made a mistake...Ah well, these things happen. Surprisingly, business was pretty good last night. Airbender, all things considered with reviews, etc. is doing very well. But, I believe it will be a quick play....

Not sure where the weekend will lay out, but you were right....Airbender will be number 2...We both can walk away with some wrongs about this weekend. I admit...I made a mistake.

I am getting ready to eat my own words. Looks like overall Airbender will end up in 2nd place over the weekend. I was wrong...The movie did open, and is doing much better than expected...Did you see that I said, I was also wrong....But, I was right about it being a bad movie...Let's move on shall we..

1. Twilight @ 30 Million
2. Airbender @ 19 Million
3. Toy Story @ 13 Million
4. Grown Ups @ 9 Million

I hate to say I told you so, but, I told you so. All you Airbender fans are jumping ship fast...This will not end up than #3 over the weekend if it's lucky. But nobody would believe me when I said my film buyer for our company said it was bad....Eat your words...I know what I am talking about.

Heads Up! Early reviews on Rottentomatoes.com are VERY BAD on Airbender! This movie will flop! It will have a midnight show, but I do believe TS3 will come out ahead, as it should. The best summer movie so far...Hands down is Toy Story 3!

Are you sure you aren't talking about Twilight? I mean, I have several big cities in our company top 5 theatres in the state that are selling very few, if any at all at their complex? All I can say Diaigma is by looking at your picture is you are obsessed with this film. I love to come on this site and watch all these freaks and geeks obsess about their movies...Last Airbender is just not going to perform that well in the states. Oh sure, overall it might do ok, but I don't think it's a picture that makes 100 million at the box office. Our film buyer saw the movie...Said 3D was basically worthless and not needed in the picture. He said the story is ok at the beginning, slow in the middle for about 45 minutes, and then finished ok overall. It's just another picture that will do so-so business...Keep living in your fantasy world...I will live in the real world where this film directed by Shama-lama-ding-dong will do nothing but go wrong! This film is #3 this weekend, at best! Mark it down!

Ooohh...Way to sell yourself short. If this movie is going to be big..Why not go for a bigger choice of movies other than Robin Hood & Prince Of Persia....What, no faith in the picture? The way the summer has been, being I work in the industry, I hope this film works, but I really have a hard time grasping that it will. If the film has a fan base, I hope they come out, but again, I just don't see it. And if all 180,000 facebook fans even do come out to the movie, that only accounts for 1.8 million in box office revenue. That my friend, would be a failure. Prove me wrong...Make me eat my words....I just had lunch, but would be willing to eat again. I just have a hard time believing that this film works. You better hope those 180,000 people come and see the film like 10 times...Then you have a 10 million dollar gross...I do know this for a fact...Our company, and we have over 30 theatres in the chain, has not sold more than 10 tickets in any location, for any show, at any time. That is NOT good. BTW, I really could care less if it sells overseas...Doesn't add anything to the states. I really only care if it works in our theatres.

I guess my question is...Who is going to come and see this film? Women...No....Teenagers - No....Adults....No..That leaves little kids....Boys, ok, so they will make up a little bit of business...I talked to the employees that work in our theatre and out of the 100+ employees that work there...Only about 10% have any interest....I am just stating the facts....No interest in the film = No business....

@Dark enV - Too bad Airbender is like your love child. I could care less if this film "Excites" you. This movie will flop! Mark my words!

I have a very hard time in believing Airbender will open up ahead of Toy Story 3 next week. I just don't see it.

All I can say, is early reviews that I have seen are not that good on Airbender. From what I have read is that if you are not a fan of this film, you will NOT like it. It's going to be a hard sale. Not to mention, the 3D whole aspect of the film is only going to get a few theatres to play it. I know in our towns, the company is only going with a few Airbender's in 3D, putting more into the release of Desp*cable Me on July 9th. Paramount is scared of this release. Personally, I hope it bombs. This film has not excited me one bit. Nothing.

Honestly, I could care less....I don't have any faith in this picture. It might do well overseas...what does that mean to me....Nothing...I don't give a crap about this movie. I hope it fails. Which I think it will. I think it will be lucky to be at #3 opening weekend...

1 - Twlight - 130 million
2 - Toy Story 3 - 40 million
3 - Last Airbender - 20 million(I think that will be lucky)

By the way, I will agree that Inception looks by far like the best film for July hands down...
