wtf? Tatum/Gordon-Levitt? I don't even want to see this movie anymore. Half the cast is awesome the other is f*cking horrible.

Evans or Tatum would be a mistake. i think they're both too young for the role. Fox plays the "leader" role in Lost, so it wouldn't be new to him. The fact that Tatum has another role playing a military role is a reason not to cast him...If another movie came out about pirates would you cast Johnny Depp as the captain... (the example that came to mind)

When you're actually running for your life, then you can comment on what you'd do. I know a lot of people that knew why it was called Cloverfield. It only cost them 30,000,000 to make and they'll probably make double that in the first week, so they'll most likely make their money i'm sure. I somewhat agree with your point about the Dark Knight, but to be fair the Dark Knight marketing hasn't included a fake oil rig destruction in 5 or more languages,lol....

I completely agree that people should be entitled to their opinion, but they should say things like "i think it looks like a bad movie" rather than stating it is. I've just seen it too many times, so just gets frustrating. To be honest when i read Gallaghers open letter it actually sounded like someone with a good head on their shoulders, i'm just not a fan of movie reviews from people that haven't seen it...

if you're sick of all the hype then don't watch the videos or click on the links, it's pretty simple. I hope they don't show the monster and knowing Abrams it's definitely a possibility. Showing the monster would make it just like any other movie of the same type and it could possibly ruin the movie. Look at "Signs", great movie up until they show the alien close up...

knowing J.J. Abrams they may never reveal the monster in the movie...

I usually enjoy movies from 20th Century Fox, but not one movie in this list is a must-see for me, although not one seems terrible either. The only 20th Century Fox movie i really want to see is Shyamalan's "The Happening" with Mark Wahlberg...

I think being a film critic would be a good job, but it seems to me critics go into a movie with a negative outlook and if you're looking for something negative, you'll find it. There's probably at least 3 negative things in every movie ever made...That being said, i appreciate critics that will point out a few good things if they didn't like it and vice versa. As for the movie, I personally think it deserves more than 3 stars, but as they say "to each his own"...
