@ 2movieguys What was incoherent about it?
I really enjoyed it, probably the best fantasy film we've gotten since LOTR. Charlize was awesome, as usual.
Next week, total Prometheus domination.

@ jayaottley Where are fans suposed to submit them? Are there any guidelines or websites for that? Still, I've seen better fan-made posters...
|
|
|
Is this the same Christian Bale who once said he wasn't interested in being in any romantic movies?
@ bawnian-dexeus and yeah, they do look odd together.

There's bad posters, and then there's this.

Wow, I didn't even know this was happening. The only person missing from this cast is Russell Brand and it'd be beyond all epicness.

|
|
Midnight show it is then.

|
|
I'll see it because its gonna be awesome.

@ jasonkat The Incredible Hulk is part of the lead up to The Avengers, the fact that Mark Ruffalo isn't in it is irrelevant. And it's even a great movie. Heck, even Tony Stark is in that movie, why shouldn't it be in this package?
@ Rain277 Yeah, stupid to have it there twice. Even when it was just one it was unnecessary.

Although I'm glad to hear a Rise of the Apes and X-Men sequels are confirmed!

@ thedude1 Agreed.
Plus this is just too silly for a re-release. Titanic at least had 11 Oscars including best picture... this only has an Oscar for VFX (which are much more outdated than Titanic by now). I don't see them making much of a profit from this...

@ phil-mata Agreed, I've seen way worse costumes from hardcore fans at comic-con, even good fan films don't have these costumes.
In fact, if it I didn't know it was a porn parody, I would've said it was a very cool fan film.

@ rome84 @ dan1 @ Zack-Johnson and everyone else who is saying the should have pushed the movie back only till August; a decent 3D conversion is a process that takes at least about a year. They could've pushed it back till later this year if they kept the movie the same, but if they want to make more money by making it in 3D they need to take the time to convert it.
@ renodc Good observation about the US box office. US audiences are getting to a point were they only care about a movie (at least an action movie) if it's already part of a major franchise. You'd think G.I. Joe would be enough but I guess the studio just wants to play it ultra safe. The same thing is happening to videogames; fewer new titles are being released because they can't compete with major sequels like Call Of Duty, etc.
Luckily the rest of the world hasn't fallen to that level, yet at least.

I hope none of em takes it. They can all do better.

The second one is pretty cool, the others are really crappy.

@ corey Are you serious!? Advertising for Prometheus has been insane! I can't change a channel without seeing a TV spot, viral marketing is insane, theaters are full of cardboard stands... I haven't seen a sci-fi this advertised since Avatar. And I think it's the first sci-fi since Avatar that's gonna be a hit.
@ basquat I haven't checked the international release dates, but Prometheus comes out June 8 and Snow White this Friday. Maybe the fact that Ridley Scott is british has something to do?

I'm surprised Battleship is having such a hard time, I thought it'd be a hit, even up against The Avengers. Feel bad for Taylor Kitsch having two major flops in a row, he's not a bad actor.
Anyway, guess I was wrong about The Avengers holding up 1st place until Prometheus. Now I'm guessing Snow White will win next week, and Prometheus the other.
