@SoksoV Because when the only dish you serve is a nice hot plate of sh*t, people will eat it anyway. It doesn't mean they love it, it just means it's the only thing they have to eat.

Point in case, if two Transformers movies came out the same day, and people could choose between the usual Bay-directed stuff and a smarter movie with the same budget and great action but with a great plot, people would choose the latter. Just look at The Matrix or Inception.

@superman81@Zak-Lee-Ferguson Yeah, an R rating would've helped, not just for the sake of gore, but just exploring themes that you can't really get into when you're so desperately trying to appeal to everyone. I guess I was hoping for more a of a Contagion meets Bourne Trilogy type of thing (which are actually PG-13, but they still retain a more serious and international tone).

@skywise I'm afraid the outbreak part might be a bit of a letdown then, it pretty much starts exactly as the trailer and never goes too deep into the whys, whens and hows. If you want a good outbreak movie I'd recommend Contagion, but you won't find any zombies there :P If you do see WWZ lemme know what you think, I'm curious as to what fans of the book might think.

@ghostman yeah, which works fine for me. He's one of those actors who will look young for quite a while, like Leo DiCaprio did (he doesn't now, but you get the picture). So he'll still be fine to play a college student.

Sweet. 2 years in between is a good way to go for Spidey; Andrew won't get too old, and they'll be plenty of villains thought the whole saga.

Man Of Steel was awesome, but WB already f*cked up.

They knew this movie would be the "yes or no" for the rest of the DC universe, they should've balled up and shot a Superman trilogy back-to-back, releasing one every year. That way you'd have 3 Superman movies out by 2016, while working on the other heroes.

They didn't because they were too scared it'd flop, and now that it didn't they wanna make everything ASAP.

There's too much good material for Superman alone and cramming him up with other heroes in MOS2 isn't gonna work. WB should stop p*ssying out and make MOS2 with Superman alone, and make stand-alone movies for the rest of the heroes.

I loved it, can't wait to see it again. Definitely one of my at least top 3 comic-book movies. The Dragon Ball Z fighting was outstanding.

Also super stoked that This is the End did well too, best comedy to come out so far this year.

Good, don't wear him off by having him in every movie

@huntsman Thanks, and I wouldn't blame you, I'm dying to see it again too. I'm going to check out WWZ at a screening this tuesday, it looks decent but it probably won't make too big an impression on anyone.

Great review! The real-world reaction to aliens was what really did it for me too.
