Looks a little aged for his personality. Rough-and-tough warrior who grew up in his own "Orphan School of Tough Learning"? He looks like a old mentor, and that was the role of another character.

Little bit of a DERP face, but I'd imagine its a little challenging to work with the beak structure.

They captured her image perfectly, and Helen Mirren is a perfect actor for her. Only issue is that I don't recall Nyra appearing in the first three books, which the movie is based off of.
