Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Sequel to Feature Motion Capture
Awesome. I'm glad they're finally moving forward with this. And just as long as they keep the cartoon characters hand drawn, I'll be happy. :)...
BOOS! & WHOOP-DOOS!: The Summer Movie Smack-Down!
I pretty much agree with the whoop-doo list. And District 9 was DEFINITELY the best....
Twentieth Century Fox to Make Spore Feature
It's gonna be the movie "Evolution" meets "Ice Age." Just for the sake for another adaptation. Hell, that little blue alien in the lower right corner of the box art even looks like Ice Age's Scrat! Am...
Michael Bay Confirms Transformers 3 for 2011
Well, I thought the second was a great movie, although it wasn't as good as the first. I agree, the first was better. But the human stories are just fine. What needs to be done is make an equal balance...
EXCLUSIVE: Harold Ramis Talks Ghostbusters 3 and Meatballs Remake
God, I can't wait for Ghostbusters 3! I'm goin' nuts over that! I still don't understand why people don't like the second one though... sure I like the first better, but the second's still good!...
Sony Moves Ahead with Spider-Man Spin-off Venom
this is totally gonna tie into SM4. I've got a feeling. But it will be difficult considering Eddie died in SM3. Maybe they'll say he survived with some killer burns and ran off before anyone could see...

Hi5 Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Black abstract

Welcome to my page! If you're my friend here, why not send me a myspace friend request? My myspace is www.myspace.com/michaelkolesik. Because that's my real name, Michael.

I'm a hardcore gamer, with my favorite console being anything Nintendo. I'm a writer, and my first book is coming out called "The Tales of The Mahgil, Book One: Hell's Gate." I'm currently working on the second book. If you want to check it out or buy a copy, just ask me and I'll tell ya where to get it. :-)

The Tales of The Mahgil

There it is. My book. Here's the story:

Long ago, when the time known as A.D. was beginning, a small group of people near Jerusalem were gifted with the abilities of Angelic magic from God. These people came to be known as the mahgil.
The mahgil were charged with preventing the Apocalypse from coming too early, and when it came, they were to assist those who sided with God in the war. The Apocalypse is set for a certain time to happen. But The Dark Lord Satan wants to begin his war immediately.
For thousands of years, the mahgil performed their duties in secret, erasing themselves from history. They combated Satan’s creations that escaped the inferno of Hell, preparing themselves for Armageddon.
And now, Satan’s strength has grown and he has built his armies to an overwhelming size. He is ready to wage war on Earth, but mahgil John Dubell stands in his way. The Beast and his minions can be stopped altogether if John travels the world in search of four talismans that can be placed upon The Gate of Hell to seal the inferno until the day that the Apocalypse is meant to begin.
But John can’t accomplish this task alone. Along with him comes his best friend Nick, Maria the sightseer, Peter the dracomancer, Nathan the elemental, and Sean the naturmagi. Together, they form The Elite Six, and they undergo adventures around the globe to save the world, combat Satan’s creations, and save the humans that are so unaware of the magical people that protect them everyday.

If you ever want to buy one, go ahead and look for it at www.authorhouse.com, www.amazon.com, or whatever other website you can think of, or even bookstores. If you read it, I hope you enjoy it! :-)

But anyway...

My Favorite game franchises and the games of each of those are:
Starfox (Starfox Adventures)
Metroid (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption)
Super Smash Brothers (Brawl)
Mario Bros. (Too many to pick from)
The Legend of Zelda (Twilight Princess)
Fire Emblem (Path of Radiance)
God of War (the first one)
Halo (1 and 2)
Starcraft
Sonic the Hedgehog (2 and Sonic Adventure)

My Favorite Movies are:
The original Star Wars trilogy (IV, V and VI)
Ghostbusters
The Lord of The Rings
Indiana Jones
Alien and Aliens (the last two sucked)
Predator 1 and 2
AVP and AVP-R
Labyrinth
The Dark Crystal
Transformers
The Terminator movies
Fern Gully
Treasure Planet

This is my favorite song by Edguy ever:

And this is just plain awesome:

hey, I got a question for whom ever, does anyone have these songs?:
"Are you ready?" by Devo
"Free Ride" by Dan Hartman
"Dreams" by Van Halen
"Hope for the World" by Ron Wasserman
"Let's Rock 'n' Roll" by Super Power (ferturing Jim Cushionery)

If you do, do you mind if I can have a copy? For me down here in Australia, it's not so easy to get any of them.

Totally. I grew up in Cali (Burbank, aka, Hollywood) so I know how that goes, but the film industry and the book industry are completely different worlds. However, I'm jealous because you can go to the Southern Cali Writer's Conference...
http://www.writersconference.com/index2.html
...or ComicCON
http://www.comic-con.org/
...or South Bay Writers
http://www.southbaywriters.com/

Each are much more prolific than what I can get in Utah.

I'll tell you this now. Nothing is easy when it comes to writing and you getting your work out there. It's through these conventions that you get face time with writers, editors and agents and find out how everything works. I'm still learning. Meeting someone is 99% more effective than a no-face query letter. And if you have future writing projects, you can query them again and say "We met at such-and-such". Keep it up and be willing to accept advice and critiques, nice or harsh, but I find harsh ones to be more helpful ;)

I wouldn't have known about them without networking. For me, I started following Brandon Sanderson's blog. I saw that he was coming to a convention here in Salt Lake, so I went to check it out, and there I learned about local writer's groups, where they are, and everything's snowballed from there. Granted, I still have a way to go, but constant vigilance, my friend. Gotta keep it up.

It might be helpful to do a search like "writers groups in (state)" or "Sci-fi and Fantasy conventions in (state)". You can learn a great deal by attending them, but stay with the writer's venue. You might get lost in a crowd of Storm Troopers or something :P

BTW, where are you hollering from?

I wish I could be more helpful. like I said I'm not published yet so I don't have a publisher, and I've never tried the self publishing market. Right now I'm focusing on honing the craft and putting more titles under my belt. The biggest piece of advice I can offer is networking. Attend as many writing conferences/ conventions as you can and learn from the guests. It was through networking that I now have this pitch next weekend. Know your market. Who are you trying to sell your book to? Just some questions to consider. Also, if there's a local writer's group in your area, that's worth looking into too.

I'm in the same boat you are, though I REALLY don't have any money, so it's a publishing house or bust for me :P

Dude! I didn't know you were a writer too! I'm not published yet, but I have a pitch session with Shadow Mountain in 2 weeks! Wish me luck :)

I'm on my 6th and 7th book now, 6th being a collaboration and the 7th being my first stab at Epic Fantasy. Yours looks intriguing! I'll have to check it out when I get some $$$

Right, but don't worry. The publishers will hire a ghost writer, someone who can pick up his style and stay true to it. It happens more often than you think. :)

Hey dude.
Yeah i write and direct and sometimes act as the camera man.
The most professional experience i've had is being an uncredited runner for TDK's UK Set.

But i've done countless s, produced, written and directed 3 short films and 1 music video.
But i've done countless other stuff like A.D and also currently attached as a A.C.D to Step Up 3 which auditions begin sometime next week in London. I've also worked with N-Dubz, not sure if they are known in the U.S yet, but they are well known in the U.K.

Currently i'm filming poetry shows and stuff and going to these mad conventions like artist conventions for art, poetry, music etc to find young new talent for a brand new idea i'm trying to propose.
Also working on a Keep Britain Fit advert hopefully trying to get it on Cinemas during the previews and working on a project based on a guy called Terry Cole, we are still deciding weather it will be a documentry or a feature length film but in a documentry style.
Plus i'm juggling college lol.

Also i'm gonna look out for your book, the cover is just plain awesome, i love the vivid detail and the synopsis has intrigued me. I love independent authors, because they have so much more creativity and uniqueness than mainstream authors.
The synopsis also reminds me of the 2nd novel i started writing but never got round to finishing, lol.

Your making a website that is so cool, the closes I've come to making my own website is editing my space page and my movie web pages. A long while back my Ex-wife and I tried to make a website with our last name, it was going to have pictures, slide shows. Every time it just keep saying domain not found. Any new review for Treasure Planet, I'll check it out. I just put up my City of Ember review. If you've got a myspace page let me know and I'll add you, like I did Saquin Turok 'X'

I hardly used this site for a while. I'm using it more frequently again, but not like I used to. Also, on Myspace, it won't let me accept your application invite (think it was Treasure Island, or something like that). Not sure why, but it's not been letting me post bulletins for a while either. Anyway, I finally passed my driving test yesterday. I think pedestrians now feel safer walking along the road, not that I've mounted the kerb...

I think my nephew has still got SA, so I'll probably borrow it off him. Yeah, RPGs are probably my favourite game type. Starting off with a weak character, powering them up and eventually finishing the game with a demi-god. With good RPGs, this is an incredible journey.

Hey no problem you answer when you can, thats how it goes sometimes, not everybody is on their computer every day like I'm since my job requires so much training it's about 5-6 hours online a day doing product training and selling skills.

End of the year for Star Craft 2 by the time Blizzard is done I see it more in 2009. I'd like to take the time to work out all the bugs and all that crap that games have trouble with before releasing it. So we don't have to download 300 patches after installing it.

Certainly did get Starfox 64, with it's large box and 'free' rumble pack (even though it was the most expensive N64 game I bought). I never got to fight the real Andross though. The game needed a level select, and I could never get passed that damned submarine level (well, get over 150 kills, was it, to progress along the harder path?). I'll have to dig it out and do it. Didn't get Starfox Adventures though. It didn't get the great reviews that Rare games usually got. My nephew had a copy, so played that (well, some of it), and thought it was ok. It had Rare's usual visual and aural polish, but was a bit run-of-the-mill gameplay wise, a bit like Jet Force Gemini.

That's exactly what I did with LOZ:MM, played it twice. Played and completed Ocarina of Time again a few years ago. I'm getting an urge to play those games again. Like I said, still got a working N64 with those 2 games. Got about 20 N64 games. Gems, every single one. Can't believe the PSX pissed all over it. Hardly anyone's heard of Space Station Silicon Valley, but that's one of the best, most truly innovative games I've ever played. So ok, perhaps Paradroid had one robot taking over another robot (that's also a 64 classic, but C64 this time), but SSSV was still unique. Still some fantastic looking and stylish games about (Devil May Cry 4 for instance), but for me, not quite as exciting as when the N64 was new.
