Just read that Joe Johnston (who's planning on being Director for it) had to say:

"We are in discussions about Jurassic Park IV. The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction - a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we've seen. It starts with the history of the first trilogy, but it spins it off in a completely different direction. That's all I can tell you."

and found this little bit of info:

We haven't heard much about Jurassic Park IV, which is currently being written by Mark Protosevich. It wasn't known if Steven Spielberg would return to direct, but now the filmmaker revealed he will not be at the helm. Here's what he had to say below.

"I don't want to talk about Jurassic Park IV yet - it's too early - but I can tell you that I'm not directing it. I'm producing it though."

I was dreading this when i originally heard about this and since seeing the trailer.....i am mortified!!! It looks sh*t compared to the Arnie 1!!!! Why do they keep doing all these remakes and just really f*cking them up!!! Even though this film didn't need remaking in the first place! And tbh after watching that trailer i got more of a fell of minority report then Total Recall! Clearly they don't have their own imagination to create an awesome film! *rolls eyes*

oh oh oh i just read this online and thought i'd share:

''At Comic-Con today, Steven Spielberg appeared on the panel for The Adventures of Tintin and said there's a writer for Jurassic Park 4. The reality is that I've learned that screenwriter Mark Protosevich hasn't been officially hired yet by Universal which is just starting the process of making his deal. But Kathy Kennedy and Spielberg have picked him to deliver the fourquel script. Protosevich's credits include I Am Legend, Poseidon, The Cell, and the story for Thor. He's working on Spike Lee's Oldboy (which Spielberg at one time wanted to do). I checked with Universal just now and they think that, after stops and starts and stops, JP4 is really going to get made this time around. But already there's a timing issue. Spielberg today said: "Hopefully we will make Jurassic Park 4 in the next two to three years." But Universal tells me "that sounds too long. It would be great to have it sooner. Within 2 years sounds right: 2013." That's good news for Comcast/Universal considering it's one of their few franchises and newer tour attractions.''

i just went on imdb and was rather surprised to see who they had rumoured to be in it, the obvious 2 being Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum.....no shock there, but my surprise came when i saw Keira Knightley and Dwayne Johnson's names down there rumoured to starring in it! To me that seems abit of an odddddd mix to say the least, hmmm

That's if Warner bother finishes it, as there are many rumours suggesting they're getting bored of the concept and judging by the cgi footage am thinking the rumours are right.....Am kinda losing the faith in that this film is gonna be any good, especially now its definitely going to be full cgi when/if the film is made..... =(

This looks rather sucky! I think we'd be better off with live action or using the same technology as they did for Avatar.....coz if this is whats its gonna be like me thinks they should just quit now before really ruining it as this reallllllllly aint doing it for me! It's bad enough they are bringing out a new series which looks sh*te and has gone off plot and manga looking in design without a cgi movie! =(
