I can't wait to not see this. I agree with Saul. The group huddled around holding hands talking about Michael is almost cult like and makes you realize how much value people put in entertainers. Sure, his music has a positive message, but he was one f*cked up dude internally, both physically and psychologically. If you go see this movie, go to be entertained, not because you feel like it's the right thing to do, to honor MJ or anything like that. Because that just makes you a sheep.

Michael Moore is definitely a lying fat f*ck, that much is true. And there actually is a doc*mentary made about his skeezy ways, it's called "Manufacturing Dissent". I highly recommend it.

I watched this movie last night before I went to bed and I thought...man I bet they're going to remake this, if they can remake f*cking Cliffhanger they'll definitely butcher this as well. And then I wake up and read this...irony!

Anyone who doesn't understand why Twilight won so much simply doesn't understand MTV. It's for young girls. They picked Twilight because of that pale dude who they think is hot. MTV doesn't need to "grow up" at all. I'm the ratings for the show were just fine. MTV isn't going to change. I recorded the awards on my DVR and fast forwarded through all the awards just to watch the funny parts. If you were watching to see who "won" awards, then of course you'd be disappointed...

I have to agree with J.A. on this one. It seems like everything is an action (summer blockbuster popcorn pounding fast stuff coming at your face) movie nowadays. It just doesn't look very original, visually or substance wise. And also, just because Downey Jr. is in it, doesn't mean it can't still be a huge flop of a movie. Revolver was a f*cking mess of a movie. I mean hell, even De Niro and Pacino have laid a fat turd in the past year...did anyone see Righteous Kill? HORRIBLE!!! Good actors are in bad movies all the time...I'm just sayin'...the potential is there...I'm still optimistic though.

my vote is for The Brothers Bloom. Not that it will be my favorite of the summer, i just think it has what it takes to make money and that's all we're talking about...sleeper hit = positive word of mouth/makes more money than expected

@dcrock, ed wood is correct, you should check out JCVD, it won some Indie Festival awards. Very cool movie. Reveals the human side of Van Damme. Probably the first time in his career he played a character with depth, and it just so happens he's playing himself in the movie.

They have it on italian websites as simply "Game", I went and found the trailer, it looks pretty cool, at least visually. It's getting bad reviews so far though. The trailer on movieweb got taken down. you can google it with gerard butler's name and find it if you're really interested. It looks like a decent rental for sure. Kinda reminds me of Children of Men mixed with Crank.
