This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.
Dead End (2003)

Excellent film. This movie gave me the creeps since I watched it the night before I went on a long road trip.
dr.-feinstone posted in the forum: CGI - Special Effects
I hate CGI effects. Moviemakers are lazy these days and just plop in CGI, and animatronic effects are barely used anymore. Look at King Kong, while others say it is visually stunning I say it looks like a video game. Come on, watch closely, King Kong is obviously CGI, it is especially noticable when Naomi Watts and Kong are on screen together. I prefered the original King Kong and even the 1970's King Kong to Peter Jackson's version. And even Jackson's LOTR, while I hated the movie, mostly because it was boring, the CG effects are noticable. What is the point of making that little creature...what is it...Groto or something...CG? They could of had a human play him. However, I should not be complaining, watch movies like The Thing Below, Darkwolf, or Raptor Island...those are some REALLY bad CG effects.

I miss the days when filmmakers tried and cared about making film, not $$$. I mean, look at A Nymphoid Barbarian In Dinosaur Hell...yes, the movie sucks...yes, the special effects are awful, but the heart was there and the filmmakers actually tried and cared about what they were doing. Low budget filmmakers seem to be the only ones who care about film anymore.
I have decided that THE GRUDGE is the worst theatrically released film I have ever seen.

Don't forget to see Killer P*ssy!

Good movie, I think it actually was better than the original. Both versions were good though.

I love this movie, I got the DVD.

Well, I hate to break the string here, but this is my thread, so I'll do whatever the hell I want. Has anyone seen The Hills Have Eyes remake? Was it worth a sh*t? Also, what's the scoop on Wolf Creek? Is it worth a watch?
As far as current conversation goes, I'd like to see Caligula, just to say I did, but I want to see the un-cut version, none of this edited down sh*t. Oh, and in case somebody hasn't read my opinion of Hostel, it sucked, I f*** hated it, and if I ever get the chance I will beat the sh*t out of Eli Roth. What a douchebag c*cksucker.

Welcome back buddy. Hope things are well. Wolf Creek was OK, It deffinatly had it's moments. Haven't seen the Hills have Eyes yet, but it looks promising. Has anyone seen Slither yet, it looks like it might be a fun gross out horror comedy, like The Return of The Living Dead or The Fly.

I saw Slither and loved it, definitely a fun horror/comedy. If you like 80's cheese movies like Night of the Creeps, you will LOVE Slither.

Never heard of the Movie i might have to check it out. What is it about?

It is basically about a guy who is holding auditions and he saw this woman's picture, and before the audition he basically already decided to hire her. And they kind of have some sort of love affair and it has a slow build up to a killer awesome ending. Great film.

Hills HAve Eyes was pretty good, I liked it a bit more than the original. It was all the same as the original, except for the houses. It got different then, but it is worth a watch.

And definitely see Caligula uncut, I heard the R rated version was 58 minutes schorter.

I found Caligula to be gross and terrifying. I had the stomach to take many genre films such as Audition and Cannibal Holocaust, but I admit it, this one got to me.

I saw both "Caligula" (1979) and "Audition" (1999).

The reason I saw "Caligula" was because I came home one night when my roommate and his girlfriend were watching it and they stopped the video as I walked in... surely a sign of an--ahem--*interesting* movie! I thought it was irritating on top of gross, not to mention pointless. The most disturbing scene I remember was the man's stomach being sliced open to let all the wine he drank come gushing out, for the audience's amusement. I didn't see the point of the film, although I think the reason my roommate watched it is he was taking a film or history class. And Caligula poking his finger up a guy's butt and making him bleed and saying something like "Oh, you're a virgin!" in an affected voice was just plain weird and pointless. I didn't know the sex scenes were real, and I don't remember those or the masturbation scenes. Basically, other than the weirdness and gross-out stuff, the film was forgettable.

I disagree, but to each their own. I find Caligula interesting because it is, at least supposedly, true, and the idea of this ruler doing all that he did is scary. That is a film I will NEVER forget. The wine scene was unforgetttable, agreed with you there. Also, the decapitation machine was unforgettable. I think the point of the film is just to show people what happends in some places, not all places are happy-go-lucky. I think that it is the only film that dares to show the perversions in Rome, and Caligula's romance with his sister, how he was married to the most famous prostute, etc. No other film shows this stuff, that is why I found the film to be outstanding, and interesting. Though I can definitely understand why many people would hate this film.

Problem with the poster, for me, is both snakes look exactly the same, except one is blurry. I dunno, contrast the look a little.

I won't lie, I was very impressed with this film. I went in expecting another lame sports movie/comedy, but I found this film to be generally funny and actually have a good storyline, and it even proves a point! The film had good acting, some clever scenes, though we have seen many of the jokes before, but it seemed to be fairly original in a sense that it was made different than most sports films. Recommended!
Poultrygeist is in production, Die You Zombie Bastards is getting a release date, and Zombiegeddon is getting a release date. GOod enough for me. :D

Hard to tell what it is about. Not a big fan of Shyamalon or however you spell that, I liked Signs and that is about it. I will see it just to see it.
dr.-feinstone posted in the forum: Hostel
Uhh honestly I don't see how it relates to the movie, I saw it in theaters and did not feel it had any ignorance or whatever, but I loved the movie for what it was and won't go on strike from it because of this. THat is like people who say they wont see a Tom Cruise movie just because he is such a a-hole.

I'm officially discouraged,

I will continue to write this because it's already 118 pages long but you can't really judge a movie because of what kind it is.

I mean, yeah there are a lot of bad vs. movies but that dosen't if a new one is coming it'll be bad to

I think you guys feel this way because of the # of bad vs. movies out there and that they're disappointing

I mean I'm thinking of an idea for
Wishmaster Vs. The Creeper

I mean when you see that you probably think
"That would be crap" you never know

Maybe I need to post the first three scenes of Anaconda Vs. Python

No... Then you guys would really chew me out but I will post it later

Dude, calm down. I admit if you made it I'd probably love it, I love bad movies but dont go yelling at people because of difference in opinion.

And Wishmaster Vs. The Creeper? I always wanted to make Jason vs. Wishmaster, because after Jason releases the Wishmaster he can't talk so he cant make any wishes. It's be hysterical!
80's by far....

A Nightmare On Elm Street
Re-Animator
The Toxic Avenger
Night of the Creeps
Puppet Master
Bad Taste
Evil Dead
Chopping Mall
Child's Play
Creepshow
Demons
The Hitcher
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
Maniac Cop
Nail Gun Massacre
Night of the Demons
Poltergeist
Sleepaway Camp
They Live
Cannibal Holocaust

Need I say more?

Thought so. Closest theater it came to is an hour away. 8O
dr.-feinstone posted in the forum: ANACONDA Vs. PYTHON
I didn't know there was a boa vs. python. In that case, it would never be made and if boa vs. python was crap, anaconda vs python would be worse

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0412523/

No offense, but I really don't think a Anaconda Vs. Python movie could work. Already a lot of bad versus movies out there. And by the way, you might want to check out this film if it gets released: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0455583/
