I love the characters, even though this sequel was a direct paralell of the first, it still made me laugh through out so at least I cant say I wasnt entertained, good to see it did well, although it looks like Kung Fu Panda got overshadowed, and it was actually a very well done sequel.

considering on how the second one ened, and how much money it made - it was only a matter of time till I found out they were gonna make a 3rd one. I found these to be very entertaining movies but everyone calling this a new Saw type franchise - I wouldnt doubt it if they would try to get one out every halloween, but considering there is such little plot left to expand on Id like to hope for just a trilogy at most with this franchise cause if they try too hard to do this franchise or another 5 years its gonna get old even faster than Saw did (at least Saw had that interlocking story premise) this...i dont know.
man these are some way high expectations for these movies to make...I think this could go either way, at my local theater the last 2 showings for Due Date sold out but Megamind did not...but Megamind is a family film and therefore has the better ability to take the number 1 spot regardless of the expectations here...either way I personally liked both films and Im sure both movies will make some good money.

now this is just laughable, she has a talent (i use that term loosely) for all the pop song bs, but acting is something that she cant do for sh*t, last i heard, she was bad in everything she's been in since...yeah its all bad, now an action comedy??? what a waste of money, time, and effort - odds are this movie will do poorly at the box office, she should stick with the whole singing thing - as we all know few singers/performers are rarely good actors.
I agree that Two Face is dead, Nolan does everything by his own way of story telling, and clearly Harvey Dent is probably not coming back - the ONLY possibility would be for him to have an attempt to return the character would be through a flashback (an impotant one, not just for the hell of it) and even that seems unlikely, although if it were to happen I wouldnt mind it, much like what he did with scarecrow etc. i just hope Nolan announces the villain(s) soon.
It was an end of an era for these characters, I like the idea for the short films, but I trust pixar and Im sure they wont let disney say lets hurry and make a 4th for some quick cash.

@Daveactor7, I would hope they give it a while til they remake it considering that we all know Hollywood would rather beat a dead horse (an old franchise) rather than make new ones, so it wouldnt surprise me if they did remake it. As for PA being the "new" franchise, yeah I'd say if they keep it entertaining and stick with a good enough story, then I say why not make a 3rd one.
Saw deserved to go out with a bang, a much better box office opener than last year, I just hope they give this franchise a rest for a while - I enjoyed this "last" chapter, now I wait to get the dvd.

@The Dude1, yeah man, I always defend the Saw franchise, cause it isnt your average piece of garbage slasher flick, I always saw this franchise as a psychological story within a slasher flick w/ heavy elements of gore (even the way people died was intricate). And even some fans themselves have complained about the ending, but as you said, what did people expect?, this movie did have its flaws but I would be lying if I didnt say my mind wasnt blown away with how the ending was.
Im in agreement with @TheDude1, if one is a true Saw fan, this was a worthy end to the long story of the Jigsaw legacy. I too have enjoyed these movies for the twists within the story and the lessons of life that were explained through each saw film. You can feel that there was only one major point left to explain and that was the return of Dr. Gordon, along with a few other important questions any saw fan had - the only major flaw with this film was the 3D wasnt necessary and the reason why Im not upset with this cause it shows that the creators of the Saw franchise didnt place so much attention just with the 3d (unlike Resident Evil Afterlife), they continued with the story and ended it on a good but open note. Overall it is a great Saw film, one of the best, but if youre one of the people out there who bashes it just to say it should have ended a long time ago - then quit complaining and dont see it.
Thank God for Christopher Nolan, one of the few great directors out there, if it were anyone else they would have fallen into the stupid use of 3d and simply called this movie BATMAN 3D....but no, a true film maker at his finest - he just wants to make a great movie and thats all the assurance I need cause I know The Dark Knight Rises will be the best movie of 2012.
