hearing something like this almost makes me wish they could get Nolan's Batman story to tie in but at the same time I don't want them to bring Bale back because that story is finished. It would be better to do a Batman/Superman film before a Justice League first in my opinion.

I really hope Star Trek does what the first did and keeps some strong legs because it really deserves to perform well at the box office. Saw it saturday and I loved it. Abrams just keeps dishing out great films and I'm so excited for the Star Wars Episode VII as well as Star Trek 3. With Fast and Furious 6 and Hangover Part III coming out next week, it's going to be hard for Star Trek to continue doing well, but with continuous word of mouth I think it can hold on to a top 5 spot for a good couple weeks and make up some of the shortcomings from this week.

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n I think we're now seeing eye to eye here. I love the Dark Knight Trilogy, but I'm not going to say TDKR was the best movie ever, I think TDK was a good bit better. As far as I know the story was written by Kip S. Thorne and Spielberg liked the theory of the his story and a few months later Jonathan Nolan came up with an idea to turn it into a screenplay and wrote it. That was back in 2007 but Spielberg's schedule was too busy to actual start up the project so it was in limbo till January of this year when Chris Nolan got attached to the project. Spielberg is staying on as a producer as far as I know. Here's the excerpt I found on it.

In June 2006, Steven Spielberg announced he would direct a scientifically accurate film about "a group of explorers who travel through a worm hole and into another dimension", from a treatment by Kip Thorne and producer Lynda Obst. In January 2007, screenwriter Jonathan Nolan met with the studio to discuss adapting Obst and Thorne's treatment into a narrative screenplay. The screenwriter suggested the addition of a "time element" to the treatment's basic idea, which was welcomed by Obst and Thorne. In March, Paramount hired Nolan as well as scientists from Caltech, forming a workshop who will begin adapting the treatment after completing the script for Warner Bros.' The Chicago Fire. The following July, Kip Thorne said there was a push by people for him to portray himself in the film Interstellar. On January 9, 2013, it was announced that Christopher Nolan would take over direction of the project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it is "unclear if Spielberg will remain involved"

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n because straightforward is old and boring, Nolan's style is to make the audience think for themselves rather then spoon feed us everything, and where do you get this theory that the ending with Alfred wasn't real? Because even Michael Caine said for the script it wasn't his imagination, it happens. TDKR has MANY plot holes, does it make it the worst movie ever no. It's an entertaining film and I enjoyed it for a great conclusion to the trilogy

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n Interstellar wasn't Spielberg's idea you realize that right? Jonathan Nolan wrote the screenplay from Kip Thorne's theory on wormholes and time travel. So before you attack me please do your homework. I'm not talking about his script writing either, I'm referring to his directing. If you think his directing is bad I don't know what to tell you. Inception wasn't an entirely original film, never said it was, but I'm more than positive that it wasn't stolen from the cartoon, if it was I honestly still wouldn't care, the movie was phenomenal.

@c-a-r-t-m-a-n first, I respect your opinion. Secondly I don't see how anyone can say the man is overrated. Just because you can't understand Inception it doesn't make it a horrible film and thirdly the fact that you believed that little story about Nolan stealing the idea from a cartoon is just sad. Nolan was even asked about it in an interview and laughed and stated he'd never heard that before but it was funny to see it. People who believe that just hate the idea of Nolan plain and simple. No need to get aggressive friend. You're allowed to have your opinion, I can respect it

First off HECK YEAH!!! Secondly this makes all the sense in the world to me. Think about it, Casino Royale was has been cited to have been influenced and made because of Nolan's Batman Begins, and Skyfall was cited as being influenced by Nolan's The Dark Knight. Nolan made Inception which he described as his own story merged with Bond like material, and it was basically his audition to make a Bond movie. How could you not want this guy to make a Bond movie. BRING IT ON!!!
