What did we got out of this trailers? A god-awful looking game & a pretty cool CGI movie...

Marvel is top dog in comic-book movies and it will continue to be, I have absolutly no doubt that the lesser known DC characters (by that I mean everyone that's not Batman or Superman) won't have successfull movies, or movies at all.
If I haven't made myself clear: DC sucks!!

The problem I see with many comments is that they assume that an R-rated movie is somehow of better quality than a PG-13.
This, of course, is not true at all, simply because every R-rated comic-book movie has failed at some point, either financially or critically.
Point is, as long as the movie is good, they can make it however the hell they want...

I'm not saying that it didn't do well financially, which it certanlly did. It's just that they sold it as "the movie to end all comic-book movies" and it ended up with a cold reception at best, and falling behind a Disney movie in its second weekend...
It is a matter of proportion between the amount of previous hype and the actual result, that's where it failed.

Why are there so many people thinking that no one cares for this movie just because they don't??
Personally I'm very exited, Thor is like Marvel's version of "The Lord of the Rings" and with someonoe as cool as Kenneth Brannagh directing is bound to be great.
Even the thought of Natalie Portman playing anything in this movie is just too much to handle, THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT!!
And I want to hear something about Captain America too. What's new with that one?

giving the amount of hype that was created around Watchmen, it's easy to say this movie FLOPED. Just look at how well 300 performed as an R-rated film without having that much expectation.

Nothing says "I disagree with your point of view" like some good old homophobic and childish insults, right PypeBomb? Please let the rest of us be above this kind of facsist and offensive to everyone's intelligence arguments...
I think the movie to be consider good should be clear enough for itself, not by reading the novel before. I¡ve read it but haven't seen the movie yet, so I'll judge it when I do.
Moviemaniac, I trust you kmow that not all fanboys are alike, and what makes us be in this site is our love for movies, as I'm sure you share too.

Great review, I'm a bad movie aficionado so i'll probalt check it out! Only one correction: Charlie IS a playable character in the Street Fighter Alpha series (he's basically a Guile rip-off).

Lord Epsilon, tell everybody to go pick up the latest issue of "Avengers the Initiative" so they can see a whole army of clones wearing that cool Avenger-Spidey suit.

My dream of watching my favorite Marvel charachter on screen sadly came as nightmare in the Fantastic Four movies: Doctor Doom. Very badly approached...

I wonder how long till we see a movie remade 3 or 4 times in the future... This seriously needs to stop.
