the wizard of oz has about 15 remakes/sequels and the 1939 version that most people know of isn't even the first version. So what if it's remade. Remakes are happening regardless and will continue to happen. If you don't like it, then don't watch it.... but you won't know if it's better.

doesn't matter. If he signed the contract, the it's still tommy Lee Jones's fault for not thoroughly reading his contract.

wow. A lot of prejudice people... judging something before they even give it a chance. I wouldn't be surprised if it does well.

Of course they just want more money. But they have to because the big summer films makes up for the studio flops during the slow months in the year. All studios do this. All studios try to have at least 1 huge summer tentpole film. If they didn't, the studio wouldn't be able to survive. (example: The dark Knight... huge film. Speed Racer... flop. had the Dark Knight not been a summer film, it would have made less, and the studio would probably be hurting.

I can't believe some people are comparing Cameron to Lucas. Cameron is a genius and way better that him. And Peter Jackson? WTF? Lord o the Rings had Gollum, which is arguably the best CGI to date on a human like character.
Seriously, some of you need to grow up and stop whining |

as crappy as an idea this is of having a the Indy movie, it will be done. It's all about the money and franchise. the kingdom of the crystal skull was one of the dumbest movies of the year, yet is the 3rd highest grossing film this year, behind Iron Man and The Dark Knight.
There will definitely be a 5th Indiana jones film. Hopefully Lucas won't be heavily involved in the scriptwriting phase of production. |

wrote a comment about the news item EXCLUSIVE: Will Chris Nolan Recast the Joker for Batman 3 or Will the Riddler Take His Place?
In response to this idea that other actors wouldn't be able to do a better performance as the joker is nonsense. Sure Heath's performance was amazing, but lots of people started bashing him for taking on the role and stepping on Jack Nicholson's ground. People defined Nicholson as the ultimate Joker, but now people are saying teh same for Heath. Any talented actor committed enough to a role can convincingly portray a character, or bring about something new where a previous actor didn't.
I think the best thing to do is to wait and do a 3rd film without the joker... You can always have thugs in clown masks and work in the idea that the joker is still alive, make it part of a subplot... but never have to show the Joker. There are many solutions to this... When John Ritter died on the set of his sitcom 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, they worked in his death into the story for the show. The Batman franchise could do the same thing... or maybe create the myth of the Joker's death... and then recast when they want to bring the Joker back with another actor. |
