The first time I saw this movie, was on VHS in 1985 when I was 14. I rewatched it twice more, went to bed, woke up and watched it again. I can think of three other films in my life that impacted me as much as this.

While it definitely looks cool, the trailer suggests they abandoned any humor and went for an all-out bloodfest with the typical disposable characters. I hope the heroine has charisma. Ash is one of my top five film characters of all time. It's just a trailer so hopefully I am totally wrong.

This show has made me dream I am being chased by zombies all of the time. It's that amazing of a show that it sticks with you for a long time. I would love to own it.

It surprises me how many people see this as a bad thing. I don't think money had anything to do with his decision, though I am sure it helped convince the studio. There must be some really cool material in Tolkien's appendices and I have faith it will be an epic story worthy of three films.

I think the lighting on this shot is too strong, making both costumes too shiny and reflective. They need to be darker and more mysterious. And I totally agree with @superman81 - Bale looks really stiff.

Okay - so there are seven items to give away and three people responded. So you all should have won something. Did any of you? And if so, I would love to know how Movieweb announced its winners since I have never seen or heard of anyone winning anything.

This to me is one of the crew members. The others in the background appear to wearing the same suit. As for the strength, maybe it's Fassbender's android character.

I should win because I want proof that someone actually wins your giveaways. No winner has ever been announced and facebook doesn't allow a brand to reach out directly to a fan. So how can someone actually win?

I never read the comics but isn't Peter Parker supposed to be a bit of a nerd? This guy is way too stylish. Maybe Urban Outfitters is a sponsor.

Well, I am not surprised. I had a feeling there was something off with the way they handled giveaways. Someone there must have a nice blu-ray collection. Thanks for the response.

Has anyone ever won something? I have tried to win many of the frequent giveaways but it occurred to me that they never announce who the winners are. And if I like them on Facebook, that doesn't give them my info to contact me directly.
Maybe they get all this free stuff from studios and keep it for themselves or sell it? I just want to know that my posts aren't all for nothing. I contacted the site administrators asking how they give them away and never got a response. If you read this and have won something, please respond. Thanks! |

I grew up worshiping Harrison Ford. It's great to see him back in the sci-fi/adventure genre and this movie was very cool (Indy4 doesn't count). Daniel Craig is also badass as a cowboy. There is a space reserved for it in my blu-ray cabinet.

There are plenty of people out there that don't want 3D to go away. I am one of them. When it is done right, it's amazing. James Cameron knows this better than anyone. And I don't think for a second he is doing this just for the money. He has all the money he needs. He is extremely passionate about his film and knows it could be even better in 3D.

Desperado has such amazing audio effects for blu-ray surround sound, like bullet shells dropping behind you. I would love to have the set in my collection and immerse myself in it.

I never did get a chance to see the redux version and would love to experience it on blu-ray. It belongs in every collector's catalog and for some reason, isn't in mine yet. Perhaps now?

wrote a comment about the news item Alien Prequel Stalled Over Budget and Rating Disagreement
I can understand $250 Million is definitely a lot for an R rated film. However, after the absolutely insane amount of awesomeness of the first two R rated Alien films, one would think that even the FOX execs would be drooling over the thought of seeing this in all it's R rated Ridley Scott glory. I think it would make it's money back and plenty more, but FOX obviously prefers to deny the world more true awesomeness for an even bigger profit. Sad.

I've been waiting for this to be made, but after seeing how RH muddled up both The Davinci Code and Angels & Demons, I am fearful. Plus, my favorite part of the all the books is the Origin Story from Wizard and Glass. I hope that isn't the TV origin story they refer to, because it would make an amazing big screen film. And finally - I nominate Viggo for Roland.

This movie was made from pure creativity, imagination and passion. It took 4 years, with 12 weeks of shooting, no budget, no CGI and to this day it's still one of the greatest horror films ever made (Evil Dead 2 is the best, in my opinion).
