I have to admit now that im reading the books its kinda like a revamped version of Running Man IMO. It reads quick and its easy to understand why they would make a movie adaptation.

LOL! Very hilarious. Like this would ever happen. But good chuckle Movieweb.

I would totally dig this but in the book Mazer Rackham, which is the war hero they speak of here, was a bit more of a badass. If Kingsley can bulk up a little bit then he would be absolutely perfect. I was actually thinking Stephen Lang would pull off the brashness and physicality of Mazer.

Surprisingly I can get behind Michael Pitt only because I have recently been watching his acting style in Boardwalk Empire. I think he has the potential to really bring the dark broody type of mood that Tetsuo exhibits through the story and can lend some help to this Americanized cast.

Finally a good damn casting choice.
Coldsun wrote a comment about the news item Kristen Stewart Offered Role of Kei in Akira
Honestly I dont think KS is right for this role. I really am irritated that Hollywood is going for image over quality. They are gauging on who can they bank on and get a buck as opposed to what will make a good movie. Anybody that is familiar with the movie and graphic novel will be able to tell you that there is no way that KS can pull this role. I wont hate on her for her acting experience because the character in Twifail..err Twilight was written like an emotionless shell of a girl. But this movie is heading into a downward spiral of pop trash that is going to be an absolute travesty. For shame Warner Bros.
This whole article made me want to drop kick a bitch. They ARE NOT brothers. They are best friends, as Summit said, from the same orphanage. If they go with a story based on brothers I will be highly disappointed. And I have to go with Yannick on this one. If you are going to make a movie about Asian teenages in NEO-TOKYO then you have to use asian actors period. I dont understand what the prob is with Hollywood being afraid to do so it seems.
Okay really? I dont mind RDJ...much. But to make him into the vampire of ALL VAMPIRES is simply a no. I do admire RDJ and his level of skill at his art, but to pull off a role this dark and be convincing at the same time, I really dont believe he could pull that off. I would be more then happy to see this movie rehashed but we need a real vampire and a hell of an actor. Not just a name they slap onto a movie to get more tickets sold.

And what is with Hollywood and reboots? I mean really? Maybe its time to go out to the audience and take in some ideas and formulate something. Im sure half the general pop on here has at least an idea or two. Lets go Hollywood get on the ball. Lets see something original.
Coldsun wrote a comment about the news item Sony Pictures to Adapt inFAMOUS
To be quite honest I thought inFAMOUS was one of the better games I have played this year so far. I own an Xbox 360 and a PS3 and both systems have their own hits but in my opinion its the story and gameplay that makes the game and inFAMOUS has both. From beginning to end the story draws you into its clutches and builds up some suspense as to what is going on and why. Depending on what karma path you take affects the outcome of your story. The camera works well with all the abilities that Cole can utilize and the storyline is thoroughly engrossing. If you do own a PS3 I would recommend giving this a try and I can only hope the team at Sony Pictures does this adaptation some justice and follows along the path of the story thats in the game. Surely they will pick the righteous path but still should provide a really nice movie to watch.
