LAKESHORE RECORDS PRESENTS
AMERICANA: ORIGINAL MUSIC FROM THE FILM WISH YOU WERE HERE

Featuring Original Music by Jordan Shapiro

(April 24, 2013- Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the Americana: Original Music From the Film Wish You Were Here digitally April 30, 2013. Jordan Shapiro composed the original score.

"Everyone was adamant that the score always emanate from an 'Americana' feel/foundation," described Shapiro, who was the perfect choice to compose the music for Wish You Were Here. "I have always loved Ry Cooder, and have always aspired to play anything I could with a slide. I play pedal steel guitar, dobro, lap steel and some slide guitar, as well as some keys, acoustic guitar, mandolin, etc."

Jordan Shapiro has played one instrument or another for as long as he can remember. With a long list of musical accomplishments including live and session work, producing/recording records for a wide range of artists and churning out his own "Organic meets New Technology" brand of music for consumption by various Television/Film production companies and Artists, Jordan has been keeping himself busy in his own studio, humbly dubbed "Average White Guy Studios" in Echo Park, CA.

Currently, concentrating on recording and film score work is his main passion, but he still enjoys playing live with a variety of artists including the Supersuckers and Jonny "Two Bags" Wickersham.

"This was my first full-length score," said Shapiro. "I'll bet I scored the film three times over using different elements in different places trying to achieve something specific where it was needed! A few of these alternate cues are included in the Lakeshore release."
Ten people, one RV, and a guerilla film road trip across the country. Wish You Were Here was shot on a nineteen-day tear across the US, from Santa Monica to Coney Island.
Wish You Were Here took a wing and a prayer production budget and made miracles happen. Locations were secured on the fly; moments before filming began. No budget, no permits, no time, no worries. The RV would be on to the next town before the dust settled: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Utah, Aspen, Denver, Kansas, Nashville and Coney Island. From coast to coast, in a self contained studio on wheels.
Along the way, you'll encounter Vegas Police who think your gunplay in a diner parking lot is the real thing, emerging from squad cars with guns drawn, until they spot the camera. You'll stay in cheap motels, while spending other nights sleeping dangerously close to each other in a cramped RV. You'll see some of the most beautiful landscapes in the United States, from Death Valley to Red Rock West, from the mountains of Colorado to the wheat fields of Kansas and the rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Parkway. You'll skinny dip without permission in hotel swimming pools. You'll breakdown on the side of the road. You'll get off the RV to use a rest stop bathroom and not be discovered missing for two States. You'll scooter on the parkway, you'll play guitar in a Nashville honky-tonk, you'll get kicked out of every bus station you try to film in but still get the shot. You'll make the whole country your set, with a little help from your friends. You'll stay up all night and you'll shoot though the dawn. You can sleep when the movie is over.

Good Company Entertainment presents Wish You Were Here, available on iTunes now. The Americana: Original Music From The Film Wish You Were Here by Jordan Shapiro will be available digitally on April 30, 2013.

MUD - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Featuring Original Music by David Wingo
With Songs By Lucero, Dirty Three, Jeff McIlwain, and Ben Nichols

(April 11, 2013- Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the Mud - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on April 23, 2013. The album features original music by David Wingo and songs by Dirty Three, Jeff McIlwain, Ben Nichols and Lucero, with whom Wingo collaborated on two original tracks.

"Since [director] Jeff's [Nichols] brother Ben and his band Lucero worked on several pieces of music for the film it was really great to have that opportunity to work on having my score and their music co-exist and mingle in an organic way that made sense right from the start," described Wingo. "It was very valuable to establish a seamless relationship there between their music and my music since there were songs of Ben's that Jeff knew he wanted to use before I even started scoring the film."

This sort of collaboration is a natural for composer David Wingo. He got his start in film scoring on David Gordon Green's debut feature George Washington, collaborating on the score with Michael Linnen. The movie went on to win numerous awards, quickly gaining a reputation as one of the more astounding debuts in modern American cinema. Wingo and Linnen collaborated again on Green's Sundance Award-winning follow-up All The Real Girls, and since that time Wingo has worked with Green on a majority of his other films.

Mud is the second collaboration between Wingo and Jeff Nichols. Their previous film Take Shelter, won the Grand Prix prize at the Cannes Film Festival and landed Wingo a Discovery Of The Year Award nomination at the World Soundtrack Awards. Mud and David Gordon Green's Prince Avalanche (co-composed with the Austin band Explosions In The Sky) both had their North American premieres at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.

Wingo has also been active with his band Ola Podrida since 2006, putting out two full-length LPs (Ola Podrida and Belly Of The Lion) with a new one due April 30th (Ghosts Go Blind). They have toured the U.S. and Europe multiple times and have shared the stage with such acts as Fleet Foxes, She & Him, Beach House, and Explosions In The Sky.

Mud is an adventure about two boys, Ellis (Tye Sheridan) and his friend Neckbone (Jacob Lofland), who find a man named Mud (Matthew McConaughey) hiding out on an island in the Mississippi. Mud describes fantastic scenarios-he killed a man in Texas and vengeful bounty hunters are coming to get him. He says he is planning to meet and escape with the love of his life, Juniper (Reese Witherspoon), who is waiting for him in town. Skeptical but intrigued, Ellis and Neckbone agree to help him. It isn't long until Mud's visions come true and their small town is besieged by a beautiful girl with a line of bounty hunters in tow.

"This was the first film I've worked on that had a big classic opening that really sets the tone for the rest of the movie so we were focused on nailing that from the get-go," said Wingo. "There's several different movements in that opening piece so it really was important to set up several themes and melodies as well as varied instrumentation that were to be expanded upon and referred back to throughout the rest of the film."

BUYSOUNDTRAX RECORDS TO RELEASE
THE FILM MUSIC OF MICHAEL NYMAN FOR SOLO PIANO

New Recording Spotlights Michael Nyman's Beloved Score Performed by Pianist Joohyun Park

(April 15, 2013) - BuySoundtrax Records is proud to announce the release of The Film Music of Michael Nyman For Solo Piano featuring piano performances by Joohyun Park. The recording will be available digitally, in stores, and from www.buysoundtrax.com on April 10th.

"I started this piano album by concentrating solely on music from The Piano," said Park. "All music of Michael Nyman has stunning, beautiful and dynamic melodies and it really began to capture my attention. I wanted to record more of Nyman's work after working on the pieces from The Piano."

Pianist Joohyun Park was born in Kwang-Ju, South Korea. She began studying music at age 6. Park received both a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees of Piano from Yon Sei Univeristy (Seoul, Korea) and a Bachelor's Degree of Contemporary Writing and Production from Boston's famed Berklee College of Music. She has worked as a score coordinator, pianist, orchestrator and assistant composer for movies including Priest, The Informers, Drag Me To Hell, Creation, When in Rome, The Black Tulip, and Love Happens. A frequent performer for BuySoundtrax, Joohyun also performed The Music of Battlestar Galactica for Solo Piano.

Though it was The Piano that launched Nyman in the US, his career had already been some three decades in the making by the release of the film that earned him a Golden Globe, and Ivor Novello, and BAFTA Award. Nyman studied at the Royal Academy of Music through the 1960s and, as a music critic, is credited with coining the musical term 'minimalism.' In the mid 1970s he began scoring films, most notably for director Peter Greenaway on films including The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, Drowning in Numbers, and The Draughtsman's Contract. Nyman's film credits also include The Libertine, The End of the Affair, The Diary of Anne Frank, Carrington, and Gattaca.

Jeff Bond described (in the album's liner notes), "Nyman's trademark as a composer may be the way he derives deep emotions from an essentially minimalist style. His scores can be lushly orchestrated or paired down to solo instrumentation, but his music often plays as portraits in miniature that reveal constrained, expressive feeling-longing bursting beneath the surfaces of the characters he writes for."

"Minimalism is emphasizing musical ideas by repetition with the very basic and little materials," explained Park. "Nyman is a minimal music composer and pianist with great passion. It was a challenge to express minimal music that was written by the person who invented the term, but his great music also gave my passion great momentum. I am honored to produce a piano album of this great musician's work."

The Film Music of Michael Nyman For Solo Piano will be available digitally, in stores, and directly from Buy Soundtrax on April 10, 2013.

PEEPLES - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK EP

Featuring New Songs by Acclaimed Songwriter/Producer Stephen Bray
and Original Score by Aaron Zigman

(May 2, 2013- Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the Peeples - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack EP digitally on May 7, 2013. The EP features three new songs by GRAMMY® and Tony® nominated songwriter/producer Stephen Bray with performances by the film's Craig Robinson (TV's The Office, Hot Tub Time Machine), David Alan Grier (A Soldier's Story, TVs In Living Color) and Tyler James Williams (TV's Everybody Hates Chris, Unaccompanied Minors) along with original music by Aaron Zigman (Sex and the City, The Notebook).

Bray has produced and composed songs for various multi-platinum artists including Madonna, the Jets, Gladys Knight and Kylie Minogue; and his co-composing work on the Broadway musical, The Color Purple, earned him both a Tony® and GRAMMY® nomination. "Writing the songs for Peeples was a fantastic opportunity to blend my love of film with musical theater," said Bray. "The challenge to write music and lyrics for four different characters was made easy and fun by Tina's certainty about what she wanted. It was also an extreme pleasure to work with such amazing talent! Craig, Epatha, David and Tyler were completely open and up for the quirky tunes we asked them to sing. I'm looking forward to the Peeples taking their show on the road!"

In addition to the new songs, the EP also includes two score pieces by Aaron Zigman. This Emmy®-winning songwriter plants one foot in the world of pop idioms and the other in the emotional scope of a symphony orchestra to create narrative scores that complement each genre he's assigned-and with more than 50 film credits to his name, that has encompassed everything from the passionate romance The Notebook, to the fantastical animated adventure in Escape from Planet Earth, to the comedy Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection.

Sparks fly when Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the preppy Peeples annual reunion in the Hamptons to ask for their precious daughter Grace's (Kerry Washington) hand in marriage. Wade might be a fish-out-of-water among this seemingly perfect East Coast clan, but he's not about to let himself flounder. Instead, in a wild weekend of fun, dysfunction and hilarious suprises, Wade is about to discover there's room for all kinds of Peeples in this family, no matter their differences. Writer and first time director Tina Gordon Chism (writer of Drumline) joins forces with Tyler Perry to present a laugh-out-loud look at the family ties that freak us out ... but bind us together with love.

Track listing
1. Speak It (Don't Leak It!) - Craig Robinson
2. Drawers on the Floor - Tyler James Williams
3. Turn You On - Maxayn Lewis
4. Sweat Lodge - Aaron Zigman

THE CAVES OF ANDROZANI

The first release of an archival Doctor Who soundtrack since the 2005 British TV comeback

Featuring music by British electronic composer Roger Limb

The Caves of Androzani was Roger Limb's seventh of eight contributions to the series, and the first of his two very successful collaborations with director Graeme Harper. Broadcast in March 1984, the 4 episodes showed the regeneration of The Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison) into The Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker). In 2009, The Caves Of Androzani was voted the best in the history of the series by fans.

Roger Limb comments on working on The Caves of Androzani: "In 1984-5, we had new tools at our disposal including the Fairlight Computer Music Instrument (CMI) which I used to create the rhythmic percussion figures, and the wonderfully versatile Yamaha DX7 which was a landmark in the development of the synthesizer. I'd read the scripts but it was only when I saw the edited episodes on VHS that my ideas started to take shape. The greatest slice of luck was having Graeme Harper as director. He was able to explain exactly what he wanted from me, a great advantage!"

Roger Limb was part of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop team, which he joined in 1972. Perhaps best known for his work on Doctor Who, from 1981 to 1985, Limb composed the music for the The Keeper of Traken, Four to Doomsday, Black Orchid, Time-Flight, Arc of Infinity, Terminus, The Caves of Androzani and Revelation of the Daleks. In the 80s and 90s, Limb has contributed music to a number of television series including The Justice Game, Aliens in the Family, Thinkabout, The Box of Delights, Kevin and Co, Martin Luther: Heretic, Storytime and Look and Read. He is also known for the now cult "Swirley" tune, a happy piece of electronic music that was used as the theme to the BBC's Service Information news bulletins in the late 70s and early 80s.

LAKESHORE RECORDS PRESENTS
THE CALL - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Featuring Original Music by John Debney

(March 7, 2013- Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the The Call - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on March 12th and in stores on April 16, 2013. John Debney (TV's Hatfields & McCoys, The Passion of the Christ) composed the original score.

Academy Award-nominated John Debney seemed destined for a career in Hollywood. The son of Disney Studios producer Louis Debney (Zorro, The Mickey Mouse Club), Debney grew up in nearby Glendale, where he began guitar lessons at age six and played in rock bands in college. After college, he entered into the business with the help of television composing legend Mike Post (The Rockford Files, Law and Order). Debney furthered his hands-on training by working with Hanna-Barbera composer Hoyt Curtin. He began scoring television projects as diverse as Star Trek: The Next Generation, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and Sea Quest DSV, for which he won an Emmy for Best Main Title. In 1993 he secured his first studio feature film, the Disney comedy Hocus Pocus starring Bette Midler.

Although Debney had built an industry reputation as a talented film composer, with films as The Princess Diaries 1&2 , Raising Helen, Spy Kids 1&2, Elf, and Bruce Almighty, it was in 2004 that the rest of the world discovered him. Blending symphonic orchestra, a wide range of world instruments and the beauty of the human voice, Debney's landmark score for The Passion of the Christ would earn him an Academy Award nomination, a Gold record and a Dove award.

John Debney continues to receive accolades for his outstanding work. Last year, he received a Prime Time Emmy nomination for his work on the miniseries Hatfields and McCoys. In 2005, he became the youngest recipient of ASCAP's prestigious Henry Mancini Lifetime Achievement Award. Debney has again broken new ground composing for the videogames Lair (2007) and The Sims Medieval (2011). His Lair music was nominated for a BAFTA and he was awarded Best Videogame Score by The International Film Music Critics Association. John Debney's recent accomplishments include scoring the Steve Jobs biopic jOBS. Debney is currently in the studio writing the score to Mary Mother of Christ.

"I wanted to create a visceral, nasty electronic score for this intense film. Brad Anderson is a director of uncommon vision and we worked very closely on every moment of the music," said Debney of his work on The Call. "This was new-ish territory for me but I absolutely relished the adventure."

To achieve this vision, Debney explained, "My inspiration came from the work of Trent Reznor, Cevin Key, Rage and many other electronic artists."

When veteran 911 operator, Jordan (Halle Berry), takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) who has just been abducted, she realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl's life.

"There is a central emotional theme of sorts which highlights the emotional arc between Halle and Abigail. The theme or string motif presents itself about 3 times in the film," described Debney. "I wanted to create an overall soundscape however. One at once disturbing and unsettling. Harsh and jarring. Animalistic and suspenseful. That is how I would best describe the approach."

TriStar Pictures and Stage 6 Films present in association with Troika Pictures, WWE Studios and Amasia Entertainment, A Troika Pictures and WWE Studios production, The Call, starring Halle Berry (Monster's Ball, Cloud Atlas), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, New Year's Eve), Morris Chestnut (Identity Thief, Think Like a Man), Michael Eklund (The Divide), and Michael Imperioli ("The Sopranos"). Brad Anderson (The Machinist), directed the screenplay written by Richard D'Ovidio (Exit Wounds, Thir13en Ghosts), from a story written by Richard D'Ovidio & Nicole D'Ovidio & Jon Bokencamp (Perfect Stranger).

Jeff Graup, Michael J. Luisi, Robert L. Stein, Michael A. Helfant, and Bradley Gallo are the film's producers. William C. Gallo, Philip M. Cohen, Dale Rosenbloom and Guy J. Louthan are executive producers.

LA-LA LAND RECORDS RE-ENGAGES IN THE CYLON WARS WITH TWO NEW SOUNDTRACKS COMPOSED BY BEAR MCCREARY

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome on March 12th
Caprica: Original Television Soundtrack in May

(February 5, 2013 - Burbank, CA) La-La Land Records announces the release of two new soundtracks Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome on March 12th and Caprica: Original Television Soundtrack in May. Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica) composed the music for both series.

"In scoring the Battlestar Galactica prequels Caprica and Blood & Chrome, I returned to the unique combination of world and orchestral sounds that defined my previous score," McCreary described. "But, both prequels had their own distinct approach. Caprica was interlaced with delicate chamber orchestra textures, solo harp and other-worldly source songs. Blood & Chrome is energized by heavy distorted-synthesizers and searing electric guitar performances. Listeners will hear, however, that all three series have a common musical DNA."

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (a prequel to the critically acclaimed hit series, Battlestar Galactica) takes place in the midst of the First Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordan) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

Blood & Chrome is the second prequel from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. The first was Caprica, which aired from 2009-2010. Though it only lasted one season, the series and its music cultivated their own loyal following.

"The Caprica series soundtrack was made possible by the tireless enthusiasm of the series' passionate fans," said McCreary. "After countless Tweets, Facebook posts, emails, questions and rants, fans made it clear they wanted to experience this music in album format. I am thrilled to collaborate once again with La-La Land Records to release more music from the Battlestar Galactica universe."

Bear McCreary's unique combination of atypical instrumental background (he is a professional accordionist) with rigorous classical training prepared him to compose for disparate genres. By the age of 24, McCreary was launched into pop culture history with his groundbreaking score to SyFy's hit series Battlestar Galactica, for which he composed "the most innovative music on TV today" (Variety). It "fits the action so perfectly, it's almost devastating: a sci-fi score like no other" (NPR). Io9.com declared Bear McCreary one of the Ten Best Science Fiction Composers of all time, listing him alongside legends John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and Bernard Herrmann.

McCreary continues to write for the television show The Walking Dead. In 2013 he will lend his talents to SyFy and Trion World's groundbreaking entertainment experience, Defiance, a combined launch of a MMO videogame and television series as well as Da Vinci's Demons, a bold new historical fantasy series from David S. Goyer (co-writer of The Dark Knight trilogy) for STARZ. His upcoming film projects include Europa Report and Knights of Badassdom. His other credits include critically acclaimed scores for series such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Eureka and The Cape. His swashbuckling score for Human Target featured the largest orchestra ever assembled in the history of series television and earned him his first Emmy nomination. His videogame credits include SOCOM 4 and Dark Void.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, can be watched as twelve 10-minute webisodes on Machinima.com and will air as a two-hour movie on Syfy on February 10, 2013. The DVD, BluRay, and digital download will be released on February 19, 2013.

La-La Land Records presents Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (limited edition 3000 units) available at www.lalalandrecords.com and other soundtrack boutique retailers on March 12, 2013. Also available are the soundtracks for Battlestar Galactica: Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4, The Plan/Razor, and Caprica: Original Soundtrack from the Pilot Episode.

JOHN DIES AT THE END

ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Featuring Original Music by Brian Tyler

(February 11, 2013- Los Angeles, CA) - La-La Land Records will release the John Dies at the End - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Ten years after the cult classic Bubba Ho-Tep, John Dies At The End re-teams horror auteur Don Coscarelli with composer Brian Tyler (The Expendables, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the upcoming Ironman 3). The film, based on the novel by author David Wong, premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

"It was an overwhelming challenge, especially because John Dies at the End was a far crazier film thanBubba Ho-Tep," said Coscarelli.

"On one hand, John Dies at the End is a drug trip movie, and at the other, it's a grindhouse exploitation film with these science fiction elements," described Tyler. "When you put those together in the genre blender, you get this substance called Soy Sauce."

Brian Tyler is a composer of over 60 films and was recently nominated for "Film Composer of the Year" by the International Film Music Critics Association. Tyler was inducted into the music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and is currently composing the score for the upcoming film Iron Man 3 for Marvel Studios.

Tyler has composed and conducted the scores for Eagle Eye for producer Steven Spielberg; the box office hitsFast Five and Fast and Furious for Justin Lin; The Expendables, Expendables 2, and Rambo directed by Sylvester Stallone; Law Abiding Citizen starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler; the Keanu Reeves thriller,Constantine; and the epic science-fiction film Battle: Los Angeles; and Don Coscarelli's cult classic Bubba Ho-tep. Tyler also scored the fastest-grossing entertainment event in history, the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which grossed $775 million in its first five days of release. Tyler recently arranged and conducted the new film logo music for Universal Pictures and composed a theme for the 100-year anniversary of the studio. His films have grossed $3.6 billion worldwide.

Tyler began scoring features shortly after he received his bachelor's degree from UCLA and his master's degree from Harvard University. Tyler's score for Bill Paxton's Frailty won him a World Soundtrack Award in 2002 as well as The World Soundtrack Award as Best New Film Composer of the Year. He has received two Emmy Award nominations, seven BMI Music Awards, five ASCAP Music Awards, and was recently nominated for a record 6 Goldspirit Awards (2012) including Best Composer of the Year.

"Being a part of what Don does feel creatively gratifying," said Tyler. "We both love stories that are absurd on their surface, but at their core are about the everyman. And we love thrusting those characters into completely surreal, bizarre worlds, where the story becomes more and more insane as it goes along."

It's a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent-otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can't.

"In order to have that trippy, drug-induced fervor, the score also has to be earnest and heartfelt in a way that will balance the rest of it out," explained Tyler. "One of the ways to go about that was to have a lot of the music be lo-fi, and record the instruments in mono while organically distorting things like glockenspiels, cellos and bells with this crazy, weird feedback. But all through that, melody is there to wrap your brain around the music. Otherwise, it would all sound like a drug trip, which is something we definitely didn't want to do."

"The score for John Dies at the End is a combination of acid ecstasy and mushroom overdose, and that's just way too cool," said Coscarelli.

Magnet Releasing and Silver Sphere present and M3Alliance/Touchy Feely Films production John Dies at the End, in theaters January 25, 2013. The John Dies at the End - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on La-La Land Records will be available at www.lalalandrecords.com and other soundtrack boutique retailers on February 12, 2013.

JAMIE CHRISTOPHERSON COMPOSES SOUNDTRACK AND SCORE FOR

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE

Featuring Vocals By Artists Including John Bush, Jimmy Gnecco, Tyson Yen, Free Dominguez, Jason Miller, Kit Walters, Graeme Cornies
With Contributions by Logan Mader, Maniac Agenda, and Ferry Corsten

All-Star Band to Perform Songs from the Soundtrack
at Launch Party - February 18th

Soundtrack and Score Albums To Be Released - February 19th

(February 18, 2013 - Los Angeles, CA) Award-winning film, TV and video game composer Jamie Christopherson (Lost Planet 1 & 2, Spiderman: Web of Shadows) was commissioned by PlatinumGames to write both the score and songs for Konami's upcoming action title developed by Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames Inc., METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE. Albums of both will be available on February 19th, the same day that the METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE video game will be released. Featuring extremely fast hardcore electronic/heavy metal music, the soundtrack in METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE marks a clear departure from the music of the previous Metal Gear games.

Christopherson said, "With action-packed gameplay this intense, we knew that the music for METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE had to be something really special and different from previous Metal Gear Solid games. In order to accomplish this, we decided early on to have hardcore electronic/metal songs with vocals that would lyrically and sonically mirror the game storyline during boss battles. Pre-existing licensed songs or traditional orchestral score wouldn't suffice for these sections; the music had to be something fresh and impactful."

To achieve the desired result, Christopherson enlisted 5 time gold record artist/producer Logan Mader (ex Machine Head and Soulfly) to co-write and co-produce a portion of the songs from the soundtrack. Mader also produced live drum recordings and many of the vocal sessions for the songs.

The soundtrack features many talented recording artists from across the globe, such as electronic remixer Maniac Agenda and DJ sensation Ferry Corsten. Well-known vocalists including John Bush (Armored Saint/Anthrax), Tyson Yen (State Line Empire/Drist), Jason Miller (Godhead), Graeme Cronies, Kit Walters, Free Dominguez (Kidneythieves) and Jimmy Gnecco (Ours) were chosen to match specific bosses based on the quality of their voices.

To celebrate the release of METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE, Konami will be hosting an autograph signing and concert. Producers Korekado-san and Inaba-san will be available to sign autographs at GameStop at Universal City Walk (1000 Universal Studios Blvd) from 8-10PM on February 18th.

The first 150 fans to attend the signing will also be invited to an accompanying launch party at the Hard Rock Café across from GameStop, directly following the signing. Christopherson and Mader have assembled an all-star band to perform the original songs from the game, including Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage), Nita Strauss (Consume the Fire) and many of the performers from the game (including Bush, Yen, and Dominguez).

Christopherson described, "I had a blast working with PlatinumGames and all of the wonderful artists on METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE. The culminating result is something I'm really proud of and definitely puts the 'metal' in Metal Gear series."

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE Score Tracks, on Sumthing Else, will be available on February 19th. Also available on that date is the METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE Official Soundtrack will be available as part of the METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE Collector's Edition, from Konami.

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE will be available on February 19, 2013 for the PlayStationۏ and Xbox 360® at major retail stores nationwide. For more information visit www.metalgearsolid.com/rising.

ABOUT METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance takes the renowned METAL GEAR franchise into exciting new territory by focusing on delivering an all-new action experience unlike anything that has come before.. Combining world-class development teams at Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames, MGR:R brings two of the world's most respected teams together with a common goal of providing players with a fresh synergetic experience that combines the best elements of pure action and epic storytelling, all within the expansive MG universe. The game introduces Raiden as the central character; a child soldier transformed into a half-man, half-machine cyborg ninja, equipped with a high-frequency katana blade and a soul fueled by revenge.

In the near future, cyborg technology has become commonplace throughout society. Three years have passed since the collapse of the Patriots system that had been secretly controlling the global power balance from the shadows. However, peace remains elusive. The dissemination of cybernetic technology has triggered instability and conflict as those who control the trade gain increasing power. Furthermore, large 'Private Military Companies', or PMC's, that had been supported and controlled by the Patriots have collapsed, spawning countless rogue entities with origins to larger criminal organizations. These renegade PMCs employing cyborg technology have become increasingly more disruptive shifting policy and power at will. As a member of the peace-keeping PMC 'Maverick Security', Raiden lives by the mantra of protecting and saving lives. But as the world plunges further into asymmetric warfare, the only path that leads him forward is rooted in resolving his past, and carving through anything that stands in his way.

LAKESHORE RECORDS TO RELEASE ANY DAY NOW ORIGINAL SCORE

Features Original Score by Joey Newman

(December 5, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the Any Day Now - Original Score digitally on December 11, 2012. The album features original score by Joey Newman (TV's The Middle, TV's Little People, Big World).

"Travis [Fine, director] wanted the music to be simple and poignant," said Newman. "We both agreed that the instrumentation should be a variation on the jazz trio that Rudy (Alan C*mming's character) sings with. That way we could weave smoothly through the songs and source in the film, yet still be distinctive."

Joey Newman is a third generation film composer of the famed Hollywood musical Newman dynasty. A drummer, conductor and orchestrator, he earned his degree from the Berklee College of Music. He got his start working in television, co-composing with Emmy®-winning composer W.G. "Snuffy" Walden. For five years, Joey composed the orchestral score to NCsoft's Lineage, one of the biggest online role-playing games in history. As a conductor and orchestrator, Joey has worked across the media spectrum including conducting alongside Michael Tilson Thomas and John Williams.

Joey's music can be heard on the hit ABC comedy The Middle, starring Patricia Heaton, and the TLC docu-series, Little People Big World, for which his underscore was nominated for a Primetime Emmy® Award. Recent film credits include the award-winning 9/11-inspired drama The Space Between (also directed by Any Day Now's director Travis Fine and starring Oscar® winner Melissa Leo); and the award-winning comedy My Uncle Rafael (starring Missi Pyle and John Michael Higgins).

Inspired by a true story from the late 1970s and touching on legal and social issues that are as relevant today as they were 35 years ago, Any Day Now is a powerful tale of love, acceptance and family. When a teenager with Down syndrome (Isaac Leyva) is abandoned by his mother, a gay couple (Alan C*mming and Garret Dillahunt) takes him in and becomes the loving family he's never had. But when their unconventional living arrangement is discovered by authorities, the men are forced to fight a biased legal system to save the life of the child they have come to love as their own.

Newman tackled the scene where Marco (the boy with Down syndrome) wanders the streets first. He said, "I did this to lay down and develop the musical foundation that I would be using throughout the film."

"Marco has a 3-4 note motif wandering theme - played on piano - that ends up weaving into the relationship he has with Rudy and Paul, his partner. It's somber and has a yearning quality to it," Newman explained.

Music Box Films Presents Any Day Now, in select theaters on December 14, 2012. The Any Day Now - Original Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available digitally on December 11, 2012.

LAKESHORE RECORDS TO RELEASE ANY DAY NOW SOUNDTRACK

Features Original Song "Metaphorical Blanket" By Rufus Wainwright

(November 29, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release the Any Day Now - Original Soundtrack digitally on December 11, 2012. The soundtrack features the original track "Metaphorical Blanket" written by Rufus Wainwright for the film, three tracks performed by the film's star Alan C*mming, a selection of 70s classics (including "Don't Leave Me This Way", "Come To Me", and "Miracles,"), and original score by Joey Newman (TV's The Middle, TV's Little People, Big World).

After watching a final cut of the film, Rufus Wainwright wrote "Metaphorical Blanket", the end title track.

"I tried to incorporate all three relationships into the piece," Wainwright said. "Be it between the two men, them and the child or vice versa, there's always a sense of the impossible looming, nestled in the mundane. All these folks want to do is have a somewhat 'normal' life, which is often the hardest and most valiant thing to try and create."

Travis Fine, the film's director, described: "Rufus is quite simply one of the great singer/songwriters of our time. When music supervisor PJ Bloom and I decided to include an original song along with all of the other great music in the film, he was our absolute first choice. I'm honored that the film inspired him to write 'Metaphorical Blanket'...a song that so beautifully and elegantly embodies the spirit of Any Day Now."

Frank Scheck of The Hollywood Reporter said, "Powerful! Superb! Depictions of custody battles have become a cinematic staple, but few register with the heartfelt emotion of Any Day Now." It has earned the Audience Award at seven film festivals, including the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival.

LAKESHORE RECORDS TO RELEASE
WE ARE LEGION: THE STORY OF THE HACKTIVISTS - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

Features Original Music by John Dragonetti

(November 19, 2012 - Los Angeles, CA) - Lakeshore Records will release We Are Legion: The Story of The Hacktivists - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on November 20, 2012. The soundtrack features original music composed by John Dragonetti (Surfwise, Freeloaders). The film was an official selection of Slamdance, SXSW, and was named "Best Picture Doc*mentary", at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival.

"After I met with Brian [Knappenberger, director] and got a strong feel for what the film was about," said Dragonetti, "I immediately started brainstorming. The first thing that intrigued me was the juxtaposition of 8bit - or chiptune - elements from 70's and 80's video game music and the warmer, more 'human', instrumentation of strings and other more traditional film score elements."

John Dragonetti is a music composer and producer living in Los Angeles, California. In the past few years John has the scored the music for several award-winning TV shows which have aired on HBO, Showtime, Sundance Channel, NBC and E!. He also composed the music for Doug Pray's doc*mentary film, Surfwise, the AMC series Small Town Security, and the upcoming Broken Lizard produced comedy feature, Freeloaders.

John is also a founding member, along with Blake Hazard, of the band The Submarines. The group has released three critically acclaimed albums and continues to record and tour internationally.

In recent years, the radical online community known as Anonymous has been associated with attacks or "raids" on hundreds of targets. Angered by issues as diverse as copyright abuse and police brutality, they've taken on child pornographers, the Bay Area Rapid Transit system and even forced a standoff with Mexican drug cartels. They've hit corporate targets like Sony, cyber-security firms like HBGary Federal and would-be web controllers like the Church of Scientology.

They shut down Mastercard, Visa and Paypal after those groups froze financial transactions to Wikileaks. Along with other hacktivist groups like Telecomix, they've launched cyber attacks against foreign governments in support of the Arab Spring. They served as tech support for the Occupy movement and have put their mark on countless uprisings around the world. One participant described their protests as "ultra coordinated motherf*ckery."

So who is Anonymous?

We Are Legion: The Story of the Hacktivists, takes us inside the complex culture and history of Anonymous. The film explores early hacktivist groups like Cult of the Dead Cow and Electronic Disturbance Theater, and then moves to Anonymous' own raucous and unruly beginnings on the website 4Chan.

Dragonetti described:
"There's scene in the film where tens of thousands of Anons (members of Anonymous) come together for protests simultaneously in different cities around the world. This is a huge deal for these guys - they'd been until this point, well, anonymous. Their acts of civil disobedience had always been done online from the safety of their homes or in parents' basements. This is the moment when their movement becomes humanized and they feel an incredible sense of empowerment. We were looking for something anthematic here. Not in a John Williams sort of way - more punk rock. I always thought of this piece as the 'Theme Song' (The cue is actually titled 'You Meet Your Own People, Finally') and had this fantasy that it would become part of the actual movement - not just a film cue."

Luminant Media presents We Are Legion: The Story of The Hacktivists, in select theaters now and available on DVD and BluRay on November 23, 2012. We Are Legion: The Story of The Hacktivists - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available digitally on November 20, 2012.
