People shouldn't be so ahrd on Jeff Wadlow never back down and crywolf were just his starting point, most of the biggest directors of all time had starting points and that includes Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, but then they finally started making better films and became Megastars, who knows Kick Ass2 could be Wadlow's breakout hit, after all Matthew Vaughn did hand pick this guy because he claim he did such a great job writing the script for the film, I think we should trust Vaughn.

@ROFLitschristian, Mark Millar said himself last week that every controversial scene including the rape would be in the movie, I hope the rape in the comic wasn't graphic, that will depend on how it will be in the movie.

As for Step Up I could care less, but as for the rest, No No and HELL NO!!! They need to let The Expendables and RED stay movie franchises, they have been very well at the boxoffice, they should not be tv shows. I know for certain that if both The Expendables2 and RED2 do way better than there originals people will want another MOVIE SEQUEL.

@TheDude1How much you think The Amazing Spiderman will gross in its overall domestic run on a scale of $200-$300?

The suit is alright, but hopefully they'll try to stay accurate to the comic. I wonder if the suit could play a bigger role than what we think.

Your right@Rome84, not every film should be made for 3-D. As soon as Avatar became the mega success it was hollywood started jumping the band wagon big time, but Avatar was made with special enhanced 3-D technology that no one had seen before, that's why it became the mega hit it was, but when it comes to regular movies they just simply revised them. There were such things as movies being box office hits before 3-D, it seems as though most major studios have forgotten that, there only going to kill the industry with ridiculously high ticket prices for 3-D, or maybe they should find a way for it to be cheaper. But maybe when The Dark Knight Rises which isn't 3-D by the way, comes out and dominates the world, maybee that could be a wake up call to the industry that a movie doesn't half to be in 3-D, as long as its a very f***ing good movie.

Wow, I don't blame them for not wanting it to compete with The Amazing Spiderman, also damn I didn't know that they were planning on killing Channing Tatum's character straight off,I mean I know they were planning on using The Rock as the main action star, but I guess they saw and realize Channing's ability to draw box office numbers, I guess they thought folks would be pissed if he got killed. Also people should stop hatin on the guy, he's not an horrible actor like many say, he's actually okay, if some people claim they hate him so much, then why are y'all going to see his movies then. A person can be considered good looking, and still act well.

This would be a big break for Taylor Kitsch who has far had the rotten luck of playing in 2 movies that disappointed at the box office, but it wasn't his fault though, both John Carter and Battleship were to expensively made, and didn't really get raved reviews.

@superman81, I remember reading an article earlier this year that movie going had increased this year by merely 30% due to the unexpected successes of Safe house, Journey2, The Vow, all of these of course opened on the same weekend and they all made over $100 million domestically, also The Lorax, 21 jump street, and the unexpected mega hit The Hunger Games, and minor but still back to back hits The Devil Inside, Contraband, Underworld Awakening, The Grey, The Woman In Black, and Chronicle both of which opened to over$20million in the same weekend, 2011 did not have a start like that. But the only recent plunge was Memorial day weekend because last year Hangover part2 and Kung Fu Panda2 had huge debuts and they were highly anticipated sequels, MIB3 was said to be the sequel no one really wanted because of how disappointing part2 was, but it is still doing solid with many saying it is way better than2, now if you add the Monster behemoth Avengers into this, then thats already a good start for 2012 to outdo 2011, just wait until TDKR, The Hobbit, Prometheus, Django Uncahined, The Amazing Spiderman, and many other big films to come out, it will be a great year for movies.

@superman81, I think he still would have been awesome for the role though, he was actually considering the role, but he had to do the M night movie. But I hope he didn't try to get any script revisions on the role Quentin was trying to offer him.

@thedude1, WOW DAMN!!!, thats good, I hope it does post big numbers like that on its opening weekend. now that should be great proof that epic R rated films can be a big success, because is now afraid of making those types of movies, but they are forgetting the successes of the Matrix trilogy, the first 3 terminators, the first 3 Diehards, 300, and of course the Angelina Jolie starrer Wanted. Another big R rated movie I hope opens big is Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, its look really cool.

@thedude1, Prometheus is really tracking $70 million? Anyways, I think studios shouldn't be bitchin so much MIB3 still had a solid debut of $70 million, if good word of mouth continues thru out the next coming weeks, it could still finish with very good numbers. One of the reasons why it didn't post gigantic numbers because are cautious on how good it is, because MIB2 was considered a disappointed, but people are already saying that it is way better than the last one. Plus another reason why they shouldn't panic is because MIB3 is no where near a disappointment as Battleship or John Carter, and actually movie going has increased over this year, seriously from the beginning of the year to now just about almost every weekend has had back to back $20 million or way more grosses. A big reason why Dark Shadows and Battleship tanked was because The Avengers was such a critically acclaimed, massively fan driven movie, dark shadows and battleship weren't, also both of them were too f*ckin expensive, esp*cially battleship, if its budget were cut in half, which would be around $110 million, it would have been considered an hit already, because it has already grossed more than $260 million worldwide. Once again holly wood should not panic, not every single movie is going to become a megahit, if you ask me they need to make some of these films less expensive, but Super hero movies are poised to do good because they already have a massive fan following.
