How can a movie bomb when it's not supposed to do anything?
Anyway, Facing the Giants made over $20 million between its box office gross and rentals on a $100,000 budget, so I'd say it was a success even though it didn't break any records, and this movie is opening in twice as many theaters, so look for it to make more than Facing the Giants did. |

Ah, I missed that part, thanks ridql. But it's "uncertain," so there's still hope. I think they'd be stupid not to release it in conventional theaters.

I disagree with the writer of this article: "anyone hoping the Batman sequel would soar to Titanic heights will be disappointed." The re-release will only need around $75 million to beat out Titanic, and I've talked to several friends who say they'd see TDK again on the big screen even if they already own it on DVD.
Warner Brothers will get Oscars and the #1 domestic box office of all time out of this, and the movie deserves it. |
