Hopefully directing an adaption rather than his own stories will redeem Shyamalan. I think he's still a competent director.

MGM might "be in peril," but those I.P.s aren't. Considering they're surefire hits, they'll have money thrown at them from somewhere, if not MGM.

"Christians won't like this little mentioned portion of their history being spread to the masses." And historians won't appreciate a film that transplants blatant Enlightenment ideals into a period where they don't belong.
