Saw this a few weeks back and I am hoping that people understand why this film is important. Especially after Prop. 8, it seems we cannot learn or get ahead. I grew up in that area and was there when it happened, we were in shock and simply devastated.
My only thought when I saw this was being made was only us that lived in that time would remember and care, I hoped that this film would impact everyone. The reviews of the youth have been its good but boring. BORING, I didn't expect that, if they only knew how truly loved Harvey was and the impact he made at that time.
The performances were quite good and I was thrilled to see James Franco do such a great job, from Pineapple Express to Milk, not bad.
And what sex scene? Oh get over it.
