Genius? well I think that's maybe a bit over the top. I like Tim Burton a lot. I feel like he has incredible vision but genius I do not throw around lightly.

Maybe I'm just stirring up trouble though

I can't wait to see this one though.
dear god, i'm amazed someone actually liked ANYTHING about pearl harbor...

Minority report
SW empisode II (though i thought it revealed a bit too much)
12 monkeys

I'll keep thinking
I finally watched the sopranos for the first time last time. What can I say i'm a heathen. I am most impressed i have to find a little old lady to steal the DVDs from now. Fire fly looks good, what about that birds of prey batman spin off. I have been boycotting network TV since they got rid of undeclared and THE TICK...bastards

a JLA flick would be cool, but hard to pull off in a way that doesn't suck. In place of a good JLA movie i'm really looking forward to petersobn's Batman vs Superman if it ever takes off

now THAT was classic kerouac my frined, you're a funny man. You should write movies...
thats not fact, thats a cynics view sam, and yoiu may very well come back and say its a realists view. But i think thats bullsh*t, if no one ever hopes, and pushes for something better then all we'll end up with is the same piece of crap film we got with the first spiderman....I hate to admit it (and I know this is off topic, but what the hell we haven't been on topic for a logn time here) I am disappointed in Raimi, I had such high hopes.
yes, well i was think of something a bit more multi layed and complex. Something no super hero script has had for a long time. Most people want to take the easy way out when the possibilites are endless if you are ready to really mix things up and put "superheros" in a real world setting. Thats what M. Night did with unbreakable and that was fantastic.

Sam,

for once i have to applaud you.

that was classic. excellent post. Bravo
okay now boys, settle down. Lets all play nice. No need to get all bent out of shape

I think doc oc sounds lame. Espcoally the rumor that was floating aournd about Robin willimas playign him, jesus what a horrible idea.

I like sams idea about using kingping. I think there are definite possibilities. I have always been a fan of comic book movies where the story and characters seem plausible.

I also like kerouacs thought on a vicious cylce that spiderman gets caught up in. Perhaps there is an opprotunity for mixing both ideas.

hmmmmm......

You guys keep fighting, i love stealling your ideas
barbarians and charlatans all of you! spider man only needs one suit...if you start messing with it thats when things

DAMMIT! everyone gets to see this thing but me. I like the sound of the added anakin/padme stuff. That sounds like just what was needed, and I'm curious as to why they eren't kept in the first place. It only seem logical to have that in there. And anything that elps the love story will help Sam feel better about episode II

I'd pick...well me actually.

How about jermey london in mallrats. or linda fiorentino in dogma. Robotech...hmmm good idea. Someone should work on that...

Tom arnold in the stupids....really there are too many to list, but i'll keep at it anyway...Shaq in that genie movie...every single person in Halloween H20

More later
Kerouac - As usuall we agree, Dances with wolves was horrible. What about bull durham? I love that movie. And basically tin cup was just Bull durham on a golf course...sort of...I do look forward to punchdrunk love and I agree about magnolia, I just didn't like BN

okay and yes perhaps I have a little "kevin smith fan" bias...by the way I heard about this movie, 32 bucks or something, supposed to kick ass
The whole thing. I just couldnt' get into it. There were some incredible suppirting roles, that I will admit. I didn't like Marky mark very much. I felt like the film just meandered along. It just wasnt' a very tight movie I got bored alot. There were a few good sequences. Willima H. Macy, Julianne Moore, hell even Burts Reynolds were pretty good, but the film just never came together for me. It just didnt' feel very well put together. Sometimes movies need to be 3 hours long, this one just didn't....

Look, i'm not attacking PTA, i think as a filmaker he is very very good, even brilliant at times. Boogie nights has some flashes of brilliance in it, but it just dragged on and on and was really uneven at times.

The soundtrack had a few good monets...I don't knwo its just my opinion.
Dumd and Dumber (This is the onyl movie I left o go to the bathroomand just never bothered to come back, its horrible)

The stupids (Most people don't know this even exsisted , but i do I had to sit through it)

Gladiator (nah, just kidding, thought I'd start trouble)

every star trek movie after Wrath of Khan

Saving Silverman (awful just awful)

Actually any movie with Jason Biggs in a major role (including slacker)

Boogie Nights

Its a wonderful life (if I have to see this one more time I'm going on a killing spree)

There are so many !
