Okay so, first off if you havent seen the dark knight rises dont read ahead, SPOILERS. i have already heard from various sources that John "Robin" Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has already been in talks and practically given the role of Batman for the justice league movie. There have been massive speculation that JGL will appear as Batman at the end of The Man of Steel to launch it all into the Justice League as marvel did with Iron man. I don't know if he will still go as the unknown identity to the justice league. but that is just like batman, he figures out who the members really are and keeps his self under wraps. Plus JGL was a detective in TDKR, so you could really consider him as the worlds greatest detective. JGL (by the time in Man of Steel) as Batman, could have already gone under Bruce's training to perfect being batman. And if you think about it, IF JGL does end up as batman it would be the first Batman who wasnt Bruce Wayne, was Robin and IS Batman. So the Justice League batman would be a blend of Robin/Nightwing/Batman Beyond, but all round BATMAN. remember "It isn't who I am, but what I do that defines me." no matter who wears the cowl, batman is still batman. And to those who say Christopher Nolan wouldnt let this happen, He technically doesn't have a say. whoever runs the Justice League era could want to take a tid bit out of the end of TDKR, and pick up from JGL discovering the Bat-cave. It would bring in the fans from the Nolan series and more. and honestly it can happen.

@superman81 Nolan said they didn't want a Robin because he was too young and you can't have young happy characters in a dark world. Nightwing isn't a kid, he could easily be a serious character. But maybe they make JGL more like a Batman Beyond, Bane paralyzes Bruce Wayne. Bane takes over gotham and JGL steps up and takes the cape and cowl, becoming a young new batman under the watch of Bruce.

@basquat i know that, i have been following the dark knight rises since like the first post. i have read the batman knightfall comics, i have a really good idea about what will happen in the movie, but you never know with Nolan. and one thing i noticed in all the times batman has faced Bane... there has been a Robin or someone to aid Batman. JGL isn't the type to get a small role, you can bet that John Blake will play a bigger part and just some cop.

"your Not batman anymore." my bet is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will become Batman sometime during the movie or become Nightwing.
