Reserving judgement on this. The Thing is one of my favourite movies ever and I love everything about John Carpenter but this is something that should have been left to him or not done at all. This is his world, much like Alien is to Ridley Scott and that is why he is at the helm of the Alien prequels. The worst I fear about this aswell is that even though it probably will be mediocre at best it will probably still spawn a sequel to the 1982 version or even worse, try to remake it (even though that itself is a remake). Somethings are best left well alone.

This reminds me of that episode of CSI that QT directed. That was an incredible couple of episodes and if this film is anything like that then this could be a great movie to watch. Very claustrophobic.

Next it will be Predator and Aliens: The Tea Party! Terminator is what it is because of it's violence. they terminate people for christ sake!! What a way to destroy this franchise.

He is one of my favourite actors at the moment. Came home on Saturday night after seeing him do an awesome performance in Inception and watched 'Brick' from a mates recommendation. God knows how I missed that one. He could pull off being the Riddler very well and I may be a bit off here but he reminds me a lot of Heath Ledger, especially in Brick.

This film is a masterpiece in originality. I remember me and a few mates watching it after we saw Memento basically because we were so impressed with the director and were totally blown away by this film. He has a 100% track record for phenemonal movies and no sign of slipping. Genius. I hope it's released again in UK cinemas.

I'm sure the iraqis are going to love this idea.

It's a shame that it takes such a fantastic film to be re-made for people to see how untalented Russell Brand really is. I suppose this was inevitably going to get re-made like everything else but why did it have to be him? What a terrible way to destroy a timeless classic.
