@narrator Your right about the way we look at heroes and to be honest I never related to Iron Man much but one thing that Civil War and the events that followed reminded me that Tony is just one man. He has made many mistakes and in that anybody can relate.
Speaking of Civil War did you read the entire thing? If so which was your favorite series/part/section?
I really enjoyed the Young Avengers & Runaways and thye MoonKnight books.
As a huge X Men fan I was fairly disapointed with those stories even though they were pivotal.
In truth, @skywise, he didn't. Secret Invasion came, he fell apart, and he lost everything come "Dark Reign". So... we felt bad for him, as he wallowed in self pity. Undoubtedly, I might have done similar under the circ*mstances, but I believe we look at heroes partially for their relatability, but partially because they do what we can't or won't. I simply saw too much of the former and not enough of the latter in Stark's actions during those years.
@narrator While I was reading through Civil War I found it ery hard to like Mr. Stark nd often found myself askin, "How is he ever going to redeem himself in he eyes of the fans"
@ROFLitschristian remeber, that helmet has radar vision along with various other sight gadgets. That sort of equipment might get pretty expensive in an all-in-one platform.
@bawnian-dexeus Indeed it is sir. Bane is a powerhouse of muscle and super amped in the comics. The movie of course is a bit different but a powerhouse all the same.
@bawnian-dexeus perhaps the shaping of and strength of that cowl are not as cost effective as they could be but hell, he could probably take a bullett to the dome and keep on ticking.
@mcleve02 Well I am a nightcrawler fan if you hadn't noticed. He is my fav superhero because he looks like a demon and most new recruits are scared of him at first...he is actually probably the nicest X Man on the block. I really love that. I love Bats but I have to kindly disagree with your assesment although i understand and am not surprised.
@skywise That's what I was talking about earlier when I told you I was a bigger fan of Marvel, but I think Batman is better than anyone Marvel or DC has to offer... can you imagine if Batman and Punisher went after the same guy... that dude would be f-ed!
@bawnian-dexeus While I love my Marvel and Iron Man, its the duality of Bats that made him so enduring to me over the years. Sure Stark had that drinking problem which i feel was a not so subtle way of giving him a flaw that many could relate to, Wayne was truly haunted by that night his parents were killed. That made him more human IMO. Plus he wasnt the leader of the Mutant registration Act!!!
@bawnian-dexeus awesome pic. One of the things that made Bats so unrelatable to me (like Iron Man) is that billionaire aspect. Sure i get the pain of losing loved ones right before your eyes (hell Wayne should walk a mile in THESE shoes) but he had the money to do something abou tit as did Iron Man.

Agreed, @skywise. Stark leading the super-hero registration act during the Civil War arc, and wanting mutants to register - government ass hat. Lol.

I hardly doubt that one helmet is $1,000,000 while the armor is no where near as much.

@bawnian-dexeus: Fox said the Nomex survival suit cost $500,000. This is nicely cheap by comparison with the exception of the cowl.
