@dan1 I'm sure the only reason there hasn't been (yet) a remake of Pan's Labyrinth is that it was successful in the U.S. and lots of Americans have seen it.

Jesus Christ, isn't Hollywood ashamed of itself? It's like the rest of the world has to give it the ideas now.

@ROFLitschristian it's better than Pan's Labyrinth, and actually has a similar ending (won't go into what is similar). That said, I wasn't blown away by Pan's Labyrinth, except for the ending that kicked ass. All in all, El Orfanato was a good movie, you should watch it.

@Number1Wolverine she's actually supposed to be flat-chested and without the greatest body, like a 14 year old girl.

So wank to that image. :p

I'm not complaining, but gotta love the sexual exploitation on a movie based on a book that supposedly "denounces" the mistreatment of women.

Jackie Chan's character is actually very secondary, Andy Lau steals the show (and if you pay attention to his first appearance, you'll see he would make a great M. Bison!).

Best thing about the movie is that it puts plot first, fights second.
Only problem is, without Wash the series would lack part of its charm. The reverend is gone too but he was never that cool to begin with and they never got to explore the mystery surrounding him.
aoshi gave this a Thumbs Up
@jcberry526 the first one was released in 1993, so it would be 21 years in 2014, not 20.

Personally I think one was enough. The second one only came about thanks to the huge success of both the novel and the movie of the original one. Spielberg probably wanted to capitalize and make a sequel. I wasn't thrilled by either book or film of the second one.

@thedude-abides I thought it was Wayne and not Batman because Gordon is urging Batman to come back, and Wayne is saying "what if he no longer exists?".
aoshi wrote a comment about the news item The Avengers Trailer!
@ChiRep-1 @corey none of those promise to be as epic. Spiderman and Man of Steel are reboots, and personally am not holding much hope for Zack Snyder's take on Superman (Spidey, on the other hand, might be indeed amazing). Bond, well it's the 23rd movie.

Anyway, it was a joke based on exaggerations. :p
