wrote a comment about the news item Pacificor Buys Terminator Rights That's funny, because I do remember that McG did go to Cameron for pointers on the Terminator franchise...incidentally, counter to what most perceive, Cameron did not create the Terminator franchise. Sci-fi author Harlan Ellison sued James Cameron for ripping off his premise from two episodes of the TV show The Outer Limits, Cameron quickly settled out of court..Ellison receives a credit now during the end credits for Terminator1...the point being that Cameron is a great director, but, not exactly the creator of any decent source material...Avatar is, as most know, is just Pocohontas and/or Fern Gully with snazzy effects that have snowed over the masses. | |

wrote a comment about the news item Universal Returns to the Fast and the Furious Franchise with Fast Five IamthatGuy, the last F&F movie had a consensus that it was the best movie in the franchise, so, if you didn't like it, quit "wasting your time" with any more sequels - it's not for you. These car/action movies are unabashed thrill rides, not serious meditations on life or Oscar bait...they are filmic, adrenaline escaped for 90 minutes featuring badass cars & scenic vapid, hot girls! With the two leads back, Diesel & Walker, I'm sure that the producers & director will make....another great car movie! | |

I still think that Avatar's way overrated (in terms of fundamental story & character elements) so, I hope that Avatar2 will be better in those areas next time. | |
