Snyder..."Sucker Punch"..."Watchmen"... all flash, and no substance. i am afraid he will do the very same thing to Superman. i just think that he is completely wrong for directing the movie. the casting looks spot on though.

as i explained below, the casting and direction of the film from the very beginning were wrong in my opinion.

of course you may like Green Lantern... many do and will. but so far, the majority that have seen it do not like it. and the percentage of people who have liked it on Rotten Tomatoes is at 72%. still pretty high.

so why, if you are not going to let the "tainted" reviews and opinions hinder your enjoyment of the film, are you trying to discredit the ones you don't agree with? just let them have their say and let it go...

sure there are DC fanboys and there are Marvel fanboys, but there are also Comic Book fanboys. I am both Marvel AND DC. I REALLY wanted this movie to be good. it would be good for EVERY comic book movie if it was good. we are experiencing something truly tremendous these days with all of these comic book movies coming out. but apart from the few good Batman movies, and the first two Superman movies, DC hasn't really done anything noteworthy (and I am speaking mainly of comic book super heroes). so excuse me if i sound biased, it's just that with the way they have been treating their properties lately, WB has the tendency to really mess things up. and by messing up a comic book movie, it will cause a negative ripple effect on ALL comic book movies... DC and Marvel.

with this, and the sad Wonder Woman tv show, DC now has two strikes against it. granted the next Batman movie will be good, but then we have Zack Snyder directing the next Superman movie. god help us all...

3. Mr. Popper's Penguins - $16 million
4. X-Men: First Class - $11.5 million
5. Kung Fu Panda 2 - $10.5 million
6. The Hangover Part II - $9.5 million
7. Bridesmaids - $8 million
8. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides - $6.5 million

i agree about the penguin movie. it wont make nearly that much.

green lantern on the other hand will make about $50million opening weekend and then drop considerably...
