I don't have any hopes for this movie. In the trailer, there's a shot of a bunch of unarmed cops running at a horde of Tom Hardy's flunkies. Even as a comic book and cheesy genre movie fan, I have to say that shot looks downright silly. If this film is on the level of "The Dark Knight", I'm gonna demand my money back. Hell, at least in last film you had Heath Ledger making up for all the unbridled silliness that was the rest of the film.

Will there be anything as twisted as that scene in the original where Schwarzenegger used that dead body as a human shield?

Just saw "The Avengers". I thought it was the best of the Marvel Comics adaptations. Hopefully "Iron Man 3" will be just as good, and dare I say it, even better.

Yeah, what I know about the storyline kept me away. I was glad they gave Spidey proper webshooters, but the bit about his parents being something other than ordinary strayed too far from the comic book version of the character to warrant my interest in seeing this film.
