@skywise I gave it a 5 because of how perfectly well put together the film is. It improves so much from the books, it eliminates the repetition from the books and it perfectly gives the message that author Lemony Snicket wanted to tell to it's readers, and better than the awful Dr.Seuss movie adaptations that are only there to butcher the messages and to put unnecessary pop culture references. Hell, even the ending ended the film perfectly with no sequel bait ending crap that we are getting in movies these days.

@slysnide I understand your complaint on the story but to be fair, the added depth that the writers put into the story does help the movie by a mile and if it didn't have one, it would probably be another "save the forest" type of story without nothing going for it. Just go with a very open mind while watching and you may find something that you might like in this movie. Just be glad it's not Ice Age 5.

@corey I've been on Movieweb for 6 years because I used to go by the name Raven X5 God Of Light and I have written reviews that were full of awful grammar and terrible paragraphs. After learning more about writing on my English class, I have improved greatly and decided to go back to Movieweb last year with my reviews that I wrote from Spill.com, although I'm not longer a member of Spill because the site is just sh*t now due to trolls being as obnoxious as ever. But still, I will still be dedicated to this site as much as I can though.
